Hip Downtown Studio in the Heart of San Francisco! Very central location, vibrant neighborhood, and stylish, cozy studio for 1 or 2 people.
*Hi! Currently, priority is given to longer-term stays. Short-term stays are still possible though too. Thanks :)
Comfortable, sunny, awesome studio in downtown San Francisco
Free high speed wireless wi-fi/internet
Street parking (metered) and/or nightly parking garages very close
Refurbished studio w/ clawfoot bathtub, hardwood floors
Huge "hidden" walk-in closet (see pics)
Watch DVDs on 47'' flatscreen TV
Sunny, top floor bay windows
Full sized comfy Tempurpedic bed and/or optional inflatable bed available
Microwave, elevator, furnished kitchen
Union Square & Cable Cars = 4 blocks away
Civic Center St. BART Station = 6 blocks away
Downtown/Financial District = 5 blocks away
TONS of public transportation nearby. Chinatown, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf and Civic Center are a 10 - 15 minute walk.
Unit does NOT include - free parking (there is metered parking and several parking garages nearby though), cable/network television. No smoking allowed please. No laundry facilities in the building but there are laundromats nearby.
Neighborhood is a little rough around the edges in terms of having moderate noise and some homeless people (it is the city, after all), but it's a vibrant and colorful community. So it's not exactly a "honeymoon" destination, though it's super central and there's tons of great restaurants, bars, art galleries, etc very close by.
This is a private studio and is not shared with anyone else, except my cat Daisy may potentially be there (shown in photos). Would prefer people that are cat friendly and willing to top off her food/water if you're staying for an extended period. I can find somewhere for her to stay if anyone has serious allergies.
*In addition to renting, I'd also be interested in doing a temporary apt swap for somewhere cool or exotic (ex: Thailand, Panama, Mexico, Indonesia, Berlin, Portugal, or anywhere that is near a decent surf spot!)

Staying at Justin's was a quintessential SF experience for me! I didn't want a sterile super-comfortable experience, so I was fine. And there was a lot of nice and relaxed air to the place. The place is in 'the hood' and there was some edginess. But i mostly felt safe and people were helpful. Loved the access to buses on either streets. And heaps of fun stuff in and around if you walk around. The check-in process was a bit tough. But the local info/magazines were uber useful.
Justin's place is really great. As you can see from the photos, it has a really nice layout. It is a studio, but the separation of spaces makes it feel much bigger. As is noted in the description, the neighborhood is a little rough. Even as someone who is super comfortable walking around cities at night, I realized quickly it's not a neighborhood for a leisurely evening stroll. I ran into 0 problems when walking to and from the apartment though (even long after dark). The apartment itself is in a cute, older building. The neighborhood is conveniently located and is a very populated area. Justin was super responsive and accomodating. Highly recommended!
Justin was a great and generous host, very flexible and available. The studio is small but has a very comfortable layout and is located in a really cute historic building. Daisy the cat was a little jumpy and hissy at first (I have cats of my own, I think she could smell Foreign Kitty on my stuff), but was a great roommate by the time I left!
The location is really convenient (and surrounded by good, cheap restaurants) but don't skip past the part of the description that mentions the neighborhood - it is in fact a little sketchy. Just be aware when getting back at night, and maybe bring earplugs if you're not used to much street noise.
Justin's apartment i great. Less than a 15 minute walk in to Union Square, which is only a 5 minute walk on to the financial district.
It was clean and very airy with everything that I needed for my stay. (I was working down town). The district has a bar, and a few grocery shops, one is within a 2 minute walk of the apartment, there is also a Dominos and Pizza Hut within an easy walk.
Daisy is a dream host. She keeps her self to herself until she decides it is play time and then she will bring you a toy.
Justin's place was exactly what I needed while I looked for an apartment in SF. He was super accommodating and checked in often to make sure things were going well.
Justin was a great host.. Worked with me on short notice, offered up local advice and was easy to contact throughout my stay. Also, no surprises from the description on his listing. Hope to stay there next time I'm in town.
I had a great stay at this (email hidden) was easy to walk back and forth to my conference at Union Square. Ready access to Muni and many nice cafes. Clean, secure building. Sunny studio. Would stay there again.
Had a great time staying at Justin's place. The location was perfect (I was in town for a conference being held at a venue in Union Square) and the suite had everything I needed. Would stay again.
