Am I a good host? You can enjoy my space all you want and I'll help you out with your plans.
I have two rooms with double (full) size beds, and two sofas, enough to accommodate 5 people. You are welcome to use the whole apartment, and yes, if you like music, you are more than welcome to play my piano or guitars. Also, let me know if you want a few snacks and I'll be sure to grab them for when you arrive.
Andrew's place is perfect for a stay in Toronto.. The location is ideal and Andrew was the best host.
I definitely think that if you look at his place you should stay here.
He made us all feel welcome and as if we knew him for years.
Look forward to staying here again soon.
Andrew is a great host.
Great communication and hospitality.
The apartment is large and well equipped.
Over the Xmas period I had 2 of our sons in town with their significant others - and billeted them at Andrew's loft. It reminded me of my days with a loft in Old Montreal.
It was perfect for them with a great deal of personality built into the place. We tried to figure out what kind of person our host was and there were lots of clues. In actual fact he was a perfect host going the extra mile to help make it a highly positive experience - gave us an extra key, left some comfort food to welcome us, provided an exhaustive list of local bars and restaurants, solved a kitchen glitch over the phone, let us use the musical instruments, etc.
The boys had a great time and they loved just chillin out with a few beers....
Andrew's place is totally awesome, and he was a great host! He had some snacks waiting for us, and a load of restaurant recommendations (both thoughtfully chosen based on our eating preferences, which he asked us about beforehand). He also had unopened toiletries in the bathroom in case we forgot soap or anything.
The loft itself is very cool, with so much more character (and space!) than a hotel would have. We were very happy staying there, but there are a couple quirks to be aware of:
+ There seems to be old plumbing in the building, so the temperature in the shower was a bit variable (very cold to very hot) if other people in the building are using the water. This was probably the biggest downside for us.
+ There's not a lot of sound insulation, so you can hear people in other apartments very clearly. (Bringing earplugs might be a good idea in case the upstairs neighbor decides to have a party.)
+ The building is across the street from a fire station, so once we got there I was expecting to hear a lot of loud sirens. However, I was surprised to find that they weren't that much more frequent – or much louder – than you hear in any downtown apartment or hotel.
Andrew has tons of great reviews and they are all well deserved. He is a great host with an amazing place. I stayed there with a group of friends for two nights and we all had an amazing time! He's right in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of many great bars and restaurants! I'd definitely stay there again, and recommend it to anyone thinking about making a trip to Toronto.
I stayed at Andrew's apartment with two friends while in Toronto for a conference. This was our first time using AirBnB, so we weren't sure what to expect, but we were blown away! Andrew went out of his way to make us feel at home, leaving us flowers and snacks and a long list of food and drink recommendations. He was extremely friendly and helpful. His apartment is beautifully decorated and in a great location. We would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend it!
Great location! We had meeting at the Hyatt, only 350 m from the loft! Comfortable enough for us, since we were avoiding the big Hotel and we were looking for a kitchen and place to cook our food.
And for which it was perfect. Thanks Andrew.
Andrew got many good reviews. Here is one in German:

Andrew was super easygoing, responsive, and friendly. The place was great; absolutely great location, clean, and well-decorated :). The couch is a little small for a 6-foot guy to sleep in, but otherwise ample space for the other four of us. I recommend this place for sure!
Andrew's a really cool guy, who is super easy to deal with and very accommodating.
The flat is in a brilliant location in the heart of the entertainment district and Andrew's suggested bars and restaurants are just a hint of what is on offer.
The flat itself has it's quirks but if you're just using it as a place to crash after being out all day then it definitely does the job.
Overall I was actually very disappointed to leave as I'd just figured out how to use the shower!
