Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We really enjoyed staying at Amivelaz's place in Salamanca. It is a beautiful apartment in a very convenient location. Amivelaz's sister was there to let us in and she was very friendly and fun to chat with. If you're visiting Salamanca I would recommend staying at Apartamento Santa Clara.

  • Good location, 5-minute walk from the historical centre. Unfortunately very noisy all night. The apartment is not owned by the owner stated but by her sister. Very unpleasant and unprofessional customer service:
    1) We were told the apartment has wifi (I need it for my work). After our arrival, the owner did not know how to use it. When we got the info the next day, the Internet worked for a day and half, after which it stopped. We called Amanda and she promised to check into it and let us know. She didn’t bother to call us back, so when we didn’t hear from her the whole day, we finally called her and she just told us there is nothing she can do and that it will be fixed 4 days after our departure. As a result, I had to purchase a USB modem and SIM card with Internet credit in order to be able to do my work. Amanda did not bother to apologize or even to offer some kind of compensation.
    2) Upon our arrival, we were told that we can check out on our departure day at any time we want and just to call the owner (i.e. the sister of Amanda) when we know when we want to leave. However, after the Internet fiasco, Amanda sent us an SMS at 8.15 p.m. the day prior to our departure that we have to check out at 11 a.m. When I sent her a message back, saying that we are planning to leave after lunch around 2 p.m., she just send a short message that we have to leave at 11 and to stop bothering her (!), after which she stopped responding all together.
If you do not need the Internet, do not mind noise at night and do not expect any help from the owner during your stay, then this place is for you. Otherwise, we would not recommend it to anybody.

  • Very nice apartment. It's huge (4 bedrooms)! Only problem was that it was on the 5th floor, no elevator, and a bit noisy, both at night and from construction traffic during the day. Amanda was very accommodating, bringing an electric kettle when requested, etc.
