The house its self was completely charming, so well appointed and perfectly thought out. From all the cosy blankets to the perfectly matched bath products. I had a nice long soak in that tub, it was amazing! The space is small but well appointed, the grounds are beautiful and we had an impromptu photo shoot out by the old barn and wildflowers. In fact the entire place is a photographers dream spot, the light, the textures in the house and the grounds. (We are two pro photographers who stayed there to be close to a wedding we were working.) The only thing we did not like so much was that although there is 2 rooms one room does not have a door and lacks privacy, not a big deal if you are family but we are work associates so it not private enough for us. Also the walls are pretty thin and you can hear what happens on the other side of the house. Over all though I do want to end this review by saying how much we loved our stay and the hosts were very gracious. All the little touches in the house really wowed me.
We were certainly wowed by this place. The decor and cleanliness were exceptional and every possible need was met. Our family of four enjoyed spending time together in such a secluded place. We were able to meet Alvin and Jean and enjoy a bit of conversation. The kids enjoyed playing soccer outside and having bbq's on the deck. Exceptional and hallowed place!
The place is very nice and clean. Everything is provided. The night was especially when we saw fireflis around.
Our weekend was great. The space was immaculate and the amenities were everything we could hope for. Steve and Jane stopped by to bring some replacement items and we shared a few words with them. The area has much to offer for day trips. Altogether a lovely time!
We had an excellent stay at the Settlers loft. The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated, exactly like the photos. Steve and Jane were very prompt to answer any questions.
Enjoyed a relaxing long weekend in the Settler's Loft Log Homestead. House was very clean and very well equipped with everything you can think of. Our guests from Switzerland got after the hectic city tours to know the other Canada - Nature and hiking!
The settler's loft was professionally maintained. Three of us stayed for two nights and we found the place to be perfect for our drive to the Bruce Peninsula area. We loved the skylights and windows that faced all directions from the loft. The heater, hotplate, pots and pans, utensils, cups and dishes... Everything was ready for us to use. It was cozy and comfortable to hangout with a small group of friends or a family. It would have been much nicer had the weather been more fortunate so we could go out on the porch and have some coffee. The shower gowns were ready for us, lots of towels and face clothes were neatly folded. The second floor has so much character. Internet is provided and outlets are everywhere. The place is gorgeous and we feel so privileged to be able to rent it. Steve and Jane are very nice to communicate with and they accommodate us so well. You'll love the place for sure! PS: We loved the tea-biscuits! They were warm for us when we arrived. Not too sweet and well baked.
An amazing place to stay at. My friends and I have spent a fantastic weekend here. Also, it is so close to Inglis Falls, and also convenient to get food around Chatsworth(you can even buy meat of boar!!). As an additional note, the four beds and the bath tube were so amazing, better than those I have at home.
Great Location. Lovely decor: thoughtfully furnished, nice linens. Great stay over the long Easter weekend, relaxed and enjoyed. Recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet and a good location for exploring the Bruce Peninsular.
I absolutely loved settlers loft!! So peaceful and beautiful, inside and out. Perfect little getaway from the big city. We are already planning our next visit (website hidden) the jams are DELICIOUS! Highly recommended.
