  • The apartment was exactly as described: clean, uncluttered and spacious. The bedroom and living room are light and airy spaces where you can relax and unwind. The apartment is a short walk from Lorimer Street subway and an easy 15 minute walk to bars and restaurants around Union and Metropolitan Aves, although as Sean says in his description the direct area is primarily residential so if you like to be in the thick of the action this apartment maybe isn't for you. Williamsburg is slightly further afield but still walking distance and we found cabs were good value and readily available. Sean responded promptly to all our messages and was very helpful and amenable in arranging the details of our visit. We would definitely recommend him and this apartment. Thanks, Sean!

  • Sean was a great host! He was very hospitable, easy to contact and quick in his response (he responded immediately all our questions).
The apt was great, clean, cosy, spacious, comfortable and with everything we would need, as seen in the photos. Although the department is not in the center or main Williamsburg or trendy downtown area, the apt is in a very safe and easy accessible area. The neighborhood is very quiet. Also the apt is near the Lorimer station (subway J,Z & M)
Recommendation: don´t always the line J & M stops at the station Lorimer (especially on weekends). However, you can get off at Marcy station is a few blocks from the apartment.
My husband and I, and our little daughter, enjoyed our stayed in the Sean's apt.
    Definitely, we would choose!
    Thanks Sean!!!

    Gracias Sean!

  • Sean's apt was great! Really clean and with everything we would need. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was good in terms of being close to the subway, but was a bit of a walk to where all the restaurants and shops are in Williamsburg. There was a party above us the second night, but we couldn't hear a thing when we got into the apt, so it was very quiet. Sean was very responsive to any and all questions we had and we were able to enjoy the apartment all afternoon since no one else was checking in.

If you need a home base for a weekend that is affordable and comfortable, stay here.

  • Sean was a great host, very attentive when I needed help or had questions. The apartment was clean and neat - in a VERY convenient location, right by the subway and some grocery stores. I had a great stay, and would readily stay here again on my next trip.

  • A great experience! I stayed with a friend and we had zero trouble finding the place, getting in, getting around and getting out. The location is close to the J, M, Z and G lines making getting around Brooklyn and into Manhattan a snap. My buddy drove into town and found plenty of parking.

Kitchen was new and great with plenty of glasses and ice trays. The bathroom has great tile floors and lots of little bottles of shampoo and soap. The living room was perfect for entertaining a couple more friends. The furniture looked new and stylish without any of the clutter that turns me off to other "lived in" apartments.

Sean gives great feedback and guidance for getting setup at the apartment. I only needed the basics and he was cool about that.

Thanks Sean! You got a great place.

  • Sean was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive to any issues or queries we had

  • Great location, very close to the subway, but you can't hear the trains at all from the apartment. A home away from home.

  • My family of three had a wonderful, easy visit to New York, thanks to Sean's hospitality.

The apartment is actually much more generously proportioned than we had expected, and is laid out and furnished in a thoughtful way. Everything is new, clean and comfortable, from the bed linens to the huge sectional sofa.

Sean kindly offered to let us use his parking space a short distance away, but we actually found street parking right in front of the building every single time.

The neighbourhood isn't exactly glamourous. However, the subway station is about a ninety-second walk down Lorimer Street, and there are a few amenities I'd like to draw your attention to: perfectly reasonable and very cheap pizza right around the corner on Broadway; a Key Foods about ten minutes' walk up Lorimer; and, just beyond that, three business that are actually worth leaving Manhattan for...the hipster coffee shop Gimme Coffee! (a beautiful space with really sweet staff), the upscale food shop Campbell Cheese & Grocery (we put together a very nice picnic lunch here, with charcuterie, bread and olives as well as some local beers), and a fantastic diner called Champs.

Thanks for having us, Sean. Travelling with a toddler is fun but hard, so it was wonderful to have a mellow, safe place to spend our down time.

    Response from Sean:

Christina, this is one of my favorite reviews! You did a nice summary of the area and I appreciate your finds, I have not been to Champs so I will have to go.

    Thanks!

  • We loved staying at Sean's place. Everything was as described. The subway is very close and quite convenient. A good pick!

  • I couldn't make it to NY due to an ice storm. Sean was very flexible and understanding and I hope to reschedule the trip soon.
