This is a small quiet neighborhood in the Bend country farmland. Lots of space between homes for privacy but ask that respect is given to all when out walking the neighborhood.
Public transportation is available at the corner of 27th St and Greenwood, 2 miles West of my home.
Please be respectful and courteous for other guests staying.
Great quiet place to stay. Peggy is a great host.
From my mother Rae Lynch (another AirBnB member) who stayed in one of the three rooms that we rented:
Staying at Pegi's house was a great experience. She is a gracious, friendly host - a very sociable person, who is easy to engage in conversation. We highly recommend this location to others and would definitely choose to stay with her again when we return to Bend.
She has a large lovely backyard with a lot of room to relax and many outdoor games to play - it is truly a sanctuary with more than 40 trees to provide some shade throughout the day, and a very peaceful place to watch the sky turn orange as the sun sets, or sit out and watch for shooting stars at night.
Her home has very comfortable beds. Upon request, she will cook delicious continental breakfasts each morning for a nominal fee of $5 per person, but if you prefer to find breakfast in town, she will always have coffee/tea/cocoa available each morning.
Pegi is and angel. After our reservation for memorial day fell through at another location, she very promptly answered my email and went through extra effort to offer us a place in her beautiful home. She's front and center with hospitality, inviting us into the living room to relax with her and also letting us have privacy out in the back garden and upstairs. Although the rooms were all full, it was quiet and peaceful and we got a restful forty winks after hiking on Newberry Crater. Pegi invited us to fix our breakfast eggs and supplied a gorgeous fruit plate, coffee and cocoa. The eating recommendations she gave were spot on and delicious. Wi-fi was fast if you need it and the game room upstairs has plenty of room to either work or watch a movie. Last but not least, she sent us off with enough cookies (fresh baked!) so we could share with a little girl out in the Painted Hills. I would definitely stay with her again on our next trip.
