Room in a quiet street, near the station and buses, with parks, shops, restaurants and bars nearby. I offer a friendly welcome to my flat!
The flat is situated in West Norwood in South London, a quiet and leafy part of London, just 5 minutes from the station and 2 minutes from buses into Central London. It takes about 20 minutes by train or 40 minutes by bus to get to Central London. There are shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. Norwood park has a fantastic view across the whole of London and there are several other parks within a few minutes.
There's wi-fi in the house and also a garden you can use. Parking is free on the street and there's space to keep a bike.
I'm a friendly professional English guy - I also speak French. I'm happy to give you ideas of things to do in London and even take you to a typical English pub if you've never experienced one!
I have a cat, so this flat is no good for you if you're allergic!
No smoking in the flat.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
You can use the garden when it's sunny, and also the main living room.
Interaction with Guests
I will be present at the same time as my guests. I enjoy chatting with my guests, and like to let them know about the different things they can do in London. My sons, who are 16 and 18 also sometimes stay in the flat. They speak German and Spanish, and I speak French.
It's got a good community feel, is clean and quiet, and there are often events in the community, like a market, concerts, there's a theatre and Dulwich Art Gallery is not far away. Also West Norwood's Victorian cemetery is amazing
Buses go to the centre of London and are frequent and cheap. There are 2 train stations with regular trains to Central London, or you can take a bus to the nearest underground stations (Brixton and Tooting Bec)
No smoking in the flat
Although I didn't stay in the room shown Nick kindly put me up me up in a spare room as a last minute request.
The flat is situated in a quiet location (about an hour on public transport) but still offers a good range of local attractions, well for me anyway... pubs & restaurants. The flat was clean & quiet and although I only met Nick briefly he was very hospitable and would recommend both him & Oscar the cat as good hosts.
Ideal for tourist or business traveler if you don't need to be in Central London
Nick's place was beautiful and quiet. The room was rather large and it was not more than a 5-10 hike to the train station and nearby shops. Nick was also very friendly and helpful. He had lots of advice on transportation and even helped us call the car service a few times when we had an extremely early start to the day.
Also be on the lookout for Oscar, the world's friendliest cat! Oscar purrs so adorably when you give him a belly rub - definitely a great addition to the place!
The room is in south London. It is a ten minute walk from west Norwood train stop. It's a nice room , perfect for two, in a flat. Nick was very friendly and hospitable.
We had a nice stay at Nick's place - his flat is clean and tidy with a relaxed atmosphere. Nick was welcoming and helpful though we didn't see much of him as we were out visiting family all weekend.
We had a great time at your place, we think that the neighbourhood was nice, there is everything you need and it was very easy to get to the center of London. We would like to come back another time.
I'm a professional guy, born in London, and work as a corporate trainer and coach. I'm friendly and relaxed, and enjoy welcoming visitors to my house. My 2 sons (15 and 18) also live here and I have a cat. I'm always happy to help guests with ideas about what they can do in London.
I love music, and often go to gigs, movies, travelling and socialising.
