Delightful Florentine style apartment ,60sq. meters on two levels with a large sunny terrace in the city center. The apartment is very bright and peaceful, with terracotta floors and wood beamed ceilings.a living room that opens directly onto the terrace, and a seperate kitchen with breakfast bar.
On the second level there is a double bedroom with built in wardrobe.
Included are full kitchen facilities, washing machine, air conditioning, Wi Fi and T.V. etc.
The apartment is in a typical area of central Florence, walking distance from the Cathedral(Duomo), the central market(ideal for food shopping),Ponte Vechio,Piazza della Signoria, and the Uffizi Gallery,
It is an apartment that is a pleasure in spring and summer as well as in winter, with the large and peaceful terrace offering the possibility of evenings 'al fresco'. In winter the space offers a warm refuge above the rooftops in the center of the city.

The neighborhood was charming and centrally located. We didn't meet Lorenza, but her friend James was helpful and gave us a lot of great recommendations for places to eat and visit away from the crowds.
I was met by the host right at the front door and shown the apartment immediately. The apartment is just a couple blocks out of the most crowded concentrations of tourists (good thing) and only a block or so from the Accademica Gallery where the actual statue of David is housed. It is precisely as described, and the terrace away from the street is a real plus. I got a bunch of tips written down on things to see besides the usual touristy places and made use of them happily. Being a committed coffee drinker I was a little unsure about switching to espresso with one of these stove-top machines, but I tried it and definitely liked it. I was given instructions for getting in touch if I needed anything, but it turned out I didn't and so it was really like having my own place in a very charming city.
We stayed for a week attending a congress at a 3 minutes walking distance of this appartment. The location was perfect for us and also to visit the city. All major points of interest are within a 25 min. on foot. An oasis of rest compared to the busy center! Lorenzas Husband was very helpfull and gaves us plenty tips for restaurants and things to visit. Thanks again!
We had a wonderful time throughout our stay in Florence. The flat and the neighborhood were an instant hit and their charm never faded across our visit. Lorenza's husband, James, provided a kind welcome that left us feeling invited and prepared to make the most of our time in the city. It was a fantastic experience and James was easy to keep in contact with over the internet.
Lorenza's husband James checked us into the apartment and gave us a good talk through of everything it had to offer before handing over the keys. James also gave us lots of personal recommendations for places to visit, eat and drink. This sort of info is so great for finding real gems where the locals go off the usual tourist trail. Florence is a perfect city for walking around and the apartment is perfectly situated for this. It's on a direct route to the Duomo, then onto the Ponte Vecchio and then onto the Palazzo Pitti, near where you'll find the best gelato we've ever eaten. The apartment isn't luxurious but has everything you need in a small package, that feels authentically Fiorentina. The terrace is great for when you want a quiet night in. I'd recommend this as a place to stay for anyone going to Florence.
The apartment is very nice and completely quiet at night, a short walk from the train station, the central market, the galleries of Accademia and the cathedral. Our host met us as soon as we got to Florence and provided a wealth of information about good places to eat and grocery shop, despite our trip being really a last-minute arrangement. Quite a steep walk up, for those who are allergic to steps. I am used to walk-ups so it did not bother me at all.
Overall, very nice experience.
