  • Philip's apartment is in a great location in SOHO. We slept four more than comfortably in the really cute and clean loft apartment, and the check in / check out processes were a breeze. Philip's house manual is clear and had everything we needed to know for our stay. Philip himself was extremely accessible and he responded to every text I sent him as we were checking in and checking out within 2 minutes. As airbnb hosts ourselves, we love interacting with hosts like Philip who are the reason airbnb is such a great community of people. We really loved the place and we hope to stay with him again the next time we are in NYC!

  • Nice place for the price, quiet and very close to the train station. We liked a lot the suburb as there are many bars and restaurants near by. We had a good feedback with Phil

  • We had a great time in N.Y.C and Phil's apartment was a perfect place to come back to after a long day/night. Comfy beds (email hidden) that kept both rooms cool during the hot summer nights. Phil answered any questions we had super fast and was very helpful.

  • Never really had to contact Philip as everything went smoothly which is always good. The neighbourhood was great. Great choice of bars, restaurants, cafes you name it. The apartment itself i found great. Cosy and very homely. Does what it says on the tin. Has good cooking facilities for our breakfast, although I had to buy a new cheap frying pan as the one already their had seen better days. The air conditioning works which is vitally important with the heat. If I ever come back to New York I would stay here again no problem. The only negative thing I could say is the apartment does not have a lift. Four floors high works up a sweat for sure. Overall i would highly recommend staying in this apartment. Thanks again Philip.

  • Phil was a good host, we needed an extra key and he was happy to call round and drop one off. The 2nd bedroom isn't for the faint hearted as the ladder is quite steep and there's not a lot of headroom once up there. Great apartment though and definitely met our needs, plus it's only a 2 minute walk from the 2nd Avenue subway station. Neighbourhood was great too, lots of bars, quirky stores and deli's. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

  • Couldn't ask for a better location - close to shops, bars, subway etc. Friendly and accommodating host.
Apartment was clean. 6 adults is a bit of a squeeze but you won't be in the apartment much in such an amazing city.
Bed in bedroom super uncomfortable and loud but the loft bed was fine.
Would recommend as a well located crash pad for exploring the city.

Thanks Tashana! I just ordered a really great mattress topper for that bed so it should be extra comfy next time you come into the city!

  • Our stay in Philips apartment was amazing. The apartment was cosy and supplied with many towels and bed linen. The best thing was probably the location as it was very close to many nice restaurants and bars and only a few blocks away from broadway. It only took a couple of minutes to reach the subway.

I would definitely stay in this apartment in case I'm going to New York again and I really recommend everyone to do it as well!

  • The apt is in a great location and we enjoyed eating at the local restaurants. The apt is somewhat run down but clean, great shower. The bed in the bedroom is just a box spring so a little firm. My kids said the bed in the loft was very comfortable but you need to be young to get up there. We realized mid-way thru the 1st night that the air mattress did not hold air. Phil would have replaced it but we just decided to have all of them sleep in loft instead. Phil left a lot of great info about apt, the area and getting the keys and into the apt was all easy.

  • We loved staying in this apartment. We were a group of 6 and there was plenty of room for all of us. The apartment was lovely and tidy when we arrived with plenty of bedding and towels. It was in the perfect part of town, near nice bars, restaurants, venues and shops and some of NY's famous sites. It's only two minutes from the subway and in the middle of all of the action of the Lower East Village.
Philip was easy to communicate with and gave us all the information we could possible need for our stay in the apartment. We had a late flight and were able to leave our bags and pick them up later which was really handy. Thanks Philip!

About
Hi There! My name is Phil and I've been living in New York City for 8 years. I love the New York because it has everything you could ever want: nightlife, great food, shopping, and quick access to some of the most amazing landmarks and sightseeing on earth. I keep a very clean and well appointed home. I'm the kind of Host that will swing by at 9am to bring you a fresh pound of coffee if you need it. :) When I'm not playing Host, I work as a freelance musician and sound engineer from a studio I own on Rivington Street. I tend to keep busy but love to find time to slow down, read a book, or just listen to music. I love travelling, and look forward to visiting India someday... If this is your first time, or millionth time, visiting NYC, you can't find a better place to stay. Feel free to send me a message and I'll respond right away. Looking forward to hosting you on your travels. Cheers! Phil
