Holidays at the historical center of Rome
Old Town - Between Via del Babuino and Via del Corso, completely silent, approx. 100 square meters on the second floor of a renovated period building (no elevator), fully furnished with design elements. Entrance, small kitchen, dining room with fireplace, 3 double bedrooms, one with a decorated ceiling, 5 beds, two bathrooms.

The apartment is located right in the heart of the city, between the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, and is within walking distance from major points of interest, from the most well-known designer boutiques, the Pantheon and much more ...
Thanks to its enviable position, you can easily reach the squares, monuments and the most elegant streets of the capital, "Piazza del Popolo", the "Mausoleum of Augustus", "Piazza Navona" or you can simply go for a walk in the gardens of the beautiful "Villa Borghese".
The area is full of trendy restaurants scattered along the narrow streets of the historic center, where walking becomes a pleasure, and a bar in Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina and all the boutique in Via Condotti, Frattina ...

The underground line of the subway "Spanish Steps" is a short walk from the apartment and in the same area there is a taxi rank.
Several buses stop at Piazza Venezia, Piazza San Silvestro and Via del Tritone.

  • Great host making us feel very welcome. Fantastic accommodation in a great location close to the centre of Rome. Can be a little noisy at night but would still highly recommend this apartment

  • The apartment was great, and it's in a wonderful location. Everything was clean, and we felt very comfortable staying in it. I would highly recommend it.

When we arrived, the fridge was full with beverages (Coke, water, juice...) and the kitchen sorted with some toast bread, nutella and jam. A very nice detail.

There's an extra cost for 2€ per person, per night, as per Rome's regulation request.

  • Giancarlo and co. were very friendly and accomodating. The apartment was precisely as advertised, and was perfect for a group of four's needs. The apartment is very central, but provides enough space to unwind in Rome. Communications were a breeze and everything was as advertised. I'd recommend this space.

  • Giancarlo's is a beautifully decorated apartment in a very central and lively location with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. It is very well equipped and convenient. There were some basics such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and soft drinks , even pasta and olive oil!
Both Giancarlo and Rossana were very kind and helpful and we had a great time there. We highly recommend it.

  • My friends and I were very satisfied with the apartment. Clean, spacious and very handy. Despite being in a very central location and very safe, but very quiet apartment
Rosanne was very helpful and very sweet.
Finding a home has everything you need at home. In the kitchen tea, sugar, biscuits, jam, juice and beverage is placed. This is very useful when you first got there.
We recommend this apartment in our environment have all of our friends. İf we come back to Rome again,we definetly will stay there .

  • This place was amazing. Perfect location!! Your blocks away from Chanel, Prada (all top designer stores) and the Spanish Steps. The bedrooms were all great sizes with clean sheets. There was extras if necessary. The bathrooms were so spacious, clean and so modern. There is a washer machine, which was great if I could have figured out how to properly use it. lol...

The kitchen was stocked with some basic essentials which made such a drastic differences to us. Nutella, juice, soda, water and bread! It was such a small yet grand gesture. Its the little things that count in life that matter..(Nutella!) This was nice considering we didn't have to rush out to grab things for breakfast the next morning.

The host were amazing, the check in was such a smooth process. If I had an issue I just called her and they resolved the issue quickly.

I plan to come back to Rome and I will be staying here!!! Loved it!

    Response from Giancarlo:

Thank you for your opinion. With regard to two flights of stairs complained, had to be completely peaceful, because the apartment is located on the second floor and had already been pointed out by myself on the description of the house, "that the apartment is on the second floor with no lift" and is normal and to get there you have to make two flights of stairs.
In the apartment there are two new TV up and running, which one is connected to SKY, with satellite dish so I do not see where the problem is, the screen is normal and the definition of the optimal signal, the sound meets the technical compliance of TVs in question, as they are fully adapted to the style of the house, "i never said to have a movie theater," then what you assert, can not be considered a problem. Thanks Regards Giancarlo.

  • The flat was great, super well located, very clean, and furnished with taste. Sheets and towels were impecable. The owners provided some basic food to get us started with breakfast. That was a nice gesture.
We had only two minor problems: no toaster and the oven created a short circuit when turned on, so we could not use it.
There is apparently a 2 euro per night per guest tourist tax that we were not aware of. The amount is not included in the price and invoice. There is a mention about it under "house rules" but it is not included in the price, and honestly, it should not be disclosed under house rules but under pricing. So that came as a surprise and it was perceived as an extra hidden cost. I think it would be much more transparent to include it in the price, even if it is a tax, like any other cost that the owner wants to transfer to the guest (e.g. cleaning fee). Overall great experience and would recommend the flat to others.

    Response from Giancarlo:

Thank you for your review. What I would like to clarify about the 2 euro fee tourist stay, we should inform you that it is a tax levied by the municipality of Rome, which obliges the operators of vacation rentals, hotels, etc. .. to take the contribution of 2 Euros per person per night . As you assert, not to issue an additional cost kept hidden, because I have been very visible since I had already mentioned in the rules of the house, and if I had proposed as your hypothesis to include the tourist tax in the price, it would not be was a regular thing. Hello Thanks Giancarlo.

  • We arrived at the apartment at midnight and Giancarlo was there with Rosanna to greet us. It took a bit of time to register all 6 of us who were staying that weekend so if you get a chance and you are a large group it's probably sensible to send through passport details to Giancarlo so he complete the necessary paperwork. The apartment itself was perfect for us, 3 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. The living room is not massive but if you're spending a lot of time in the living-room you're probably not making the most of Rome! The kitchen has everything you need and Giancarlo kindly left some food out for breakfast the next day. All in all, I'd highly recommend it.

  • The apartment was very clean and really well supplied with basic provisions so you didn't have to rush out and get supplies on your first day - coffee, tea, milk, fruit juice, bread, pasta, tined tomatoes etc. The location is great. A short walk from the Spanish Steps Metro and a great base for sight seeing.
The apartment does sleep 6 but the central sitting area is a little compact so it would probably suit a family better than 3 couples. It was perfect for us and our 2 children.
We stayed for a week and had a lovely time. The only downside was that during the week the street outside was a little noisy at night with street cleaning and rubbish collection. The downside of city life I fear rather than the apartments fault.
Giancarlo and Rossana were great hosts making the booking and arrival very straight forward.
