Our bright, beautiful private Artist's Loft is located on one of the best blocks in one of the coolest neighborhoods on the planet - Williamsburg. Experience the best of what this fantastic, creative neighborhood offers within our very same block!
Even so, the comforts of calling this happy space your home sweet home might make you inclined stay in, too! After a day of exploring, you can kick up your heels in our hammock overlooking a garden and feel revitalized.
The first floor apartment has a nice open floor plan with one cozy, separate bedroom with a queen size bed (brand new mattress and bed frame! The pictures are not up to date).
There's a huge, modern kitchen with a dishwasher and an enormous wood block counter with stools for enjoying a meal. The well-appointed modern bathroom has a huge jacuzzi tub big enough for 2 and a fantastic, indulgent shower.
There is also a real, gas fire place that keeps the apartment nice and cozy in the colder months.
This apartment features classic loft, high ceilings and great light with big windows overlooking a garden.
You will be right in the heart of the neighborhood with amazing bars and restaurants, galleries and shops on the same block.
You will fall in love with this space, just like we did!
Our guests will have access to our entire loft space, as well as a small interior courtyard (nothing to write home about -- except for some cool murals). Guests will also have access the rooftop with jaw-dropping views of Manhattan and Brooklyn (be sure to check out the sunset!)
Generally I will be there to meet guests at the beginning and end of their trip, for handing off the keys and answering any last questions. After that I am usually off traveling somewhere, so while I will have constant access to e-mail and phone, the guests will be all on their own.
There is just so much to love about Williamsburg! The loft is located truly in the very center of the neighborhood, right where North (more established, a bit more upscale) meets South (where the really cutting edge stuff is happening -- best restaurants and bars and galleries, hands down).
Right on our corner, we love Millers for their lovely ambience, old school cocktails and $1 oyster special (every night until 7pm). Or, if you want $2 tacos and $3 shots of Patron, Pedro's is right across the street on the other block.
Also on our block is one of our all time favorites: Extra Fancy -- a restaurant and cocktail bar close to our hearts, with another great oyster and shrimp happy hour from 5pm-7pm and again from 11pm-3am. The bartenders there are so much fun and in the summer they open a huge back garden. Don't miss their ice cream sandwich, it's the stuff dreams are made of! You might just end up going there every night during your stay!
Nearby and after dark we love catching incredible live music at St. Mazie, which is a bit off the radar for most people, but a great discovery that you won't forget.
And then there's brunch -- everywhere brunch is amazing!
Subway: The loft is just 4 blocks from the Bedford L stop and 7 blocks to the J M Z line. So you can really go anywhere from here, and FAST.
CitiBikes -- the bikeshare program, has an outpost one block away on Grand. Also, if you look into SPINLISTER, you can probably get a bike for $20 per day, and bike your heart out in Brooklyn! That's the true BK lifestyle :)
The loft is in a great location, super cool (loved the hammock!!) and Ava was really accommodating and easy to work with. The place was also really convenient for my parents' visit because the apartment is two blocks from my own!
Ava was always really quick to respond to any questions we had and I would definitely rent this place again!
Ava's loft is supercool and in a great part of town. Easy walking distance to dozens of great restaurants and bars, the waterfront, and the "L" should you want to head to Manhattan. We had a great week there including coffee in the hammock and soaking in the amazing tub after a long day. The loft is cozy yet spacious enough for the 2 of us to not feel like we were trapped in a hotel room. WIlliamsburg was like disneyland for food/beer/art loving folks and we were continuously amazed by how friendly everyone was. We can't wait to go back!
Lovely apartment and Ava was a great host... would stay here again
It was a pleasure to deal with Ava to rent this amazing loft apartment in Williamsburg. She was extremely accommodating in many ways and the apartment is a spacious apartment that will give anyone who wants a real Brooklyn experience all the comforts of home. Great host and great loft!
Me and my boyfriend stayed at Avas loft for 10 days and absolutely loved it! Here are the reasons why you should do the same:
1. Location location location! If you want the real williamsburg experience, this is the real deal and the place to be. It's right across the street from knitting factory, Speuten Deuvel and fette sau (just to mentioned a few spots). The L-train is just a few blocks away, and will take you to east village and Manhattan in just a few minutes.
2. The host. Even though Ava was out of town during our stay, she was really helpful and answered all my inquires superfast and was so nice and serviceminded. However, we experienced absolutely no problems during our stay.
3. The loft. It's huge! The bed is really comfortable. Even though you're situated right in the middle of it all, it's really quiet and safe. The shower is amazing, and Ava had even equipped it with small bottles of shampoo and showergel to bring a spa-feel to it.
This was my first Airbnb-experience and I have only positive things to say about it. Avas loft is obviousely highly recommended!
Ava was a great host. Brilliant at guiding me through my first airbnb booking and gave very speedy and helpful responses to all following questions. The apartment was perfectly located and had enough room for 3 of us. It definitely had the Williamsburg feel we were hoping for!
Ava's loft is spacious, quiet and in a perfect Brooklyn location near lots of bars, restaurants and shops. It was clean, quirky and in a very safe-feeling building, plus the jacuzzi bath was a real luxury! Ava was quick to respond to any queries, accommodating of our last-minute booking and gave us some excellent suggestions of places to visit in the area. We had a great time there. - an authentic Brooklyn experience.
This is a very spacious and comfortable apartment, very well located. Ava was very welcoming and always quick to solve any problems. We did have a couple of complains though. The A/C wasn't enough to cover the whole apartment, even with the fans turned on it was too hot in the bedroom to sleep some nights. Although the apartment was very clean, we can't say the same about the building. It would've been nice to admire all the great graphitti on the walls in the alley that leads to the apartment, but it was impossible because of how dirty it was and how bad it smelled.
In response to the complaints: Andre was staying at our place during an unprecedented long heat wave of temperatures over 100 degrees F. This is highly unusual, and I am sure contributed to the feeling that the apartment was too hot, and also that the hallway didn't smell great (have you been to Venice in the summer!?). We have a 10,000 BTU air conditioner which under normal circumstances (even in the 90 degree weather) can make our apartment downright chilly!
Reserved Ava and Jeff's cool, comfortable and spacious apartment for my mom and niece during their visit. I only live a block away so I can attest to the ideal location - super close to great bars and restaurants as well as 7 min to the L and 10 min to the J, M, Z trains. Ava and Jeff are friendly hosts; and communication and coordination with them went smoothly.
This beautiful loft will blow you away!! I loved every minute. And ava is soooo incredibly sweet. It is also right in the heart of williamsburg and is so cozy and inspiring to spend time in. BIG THUMBS UP - you will love it!
