We are offering a room in a nice 3-level home in Agoura Hills. The room is on the third level and offers nice privacy from the rest of the house. There is a large TV room shared by everyone with a huge couch and 55" LED Samsung TV. In the bedroom is a smaller tv and two beds. One bed is a Full, the other is a twin. Perfect for a couple with a child. You will have your own private bathroom on the first floor as well as access to a shared bathroom on the third floor. The kitchen is located on the first floor and is newly remodeled with marble counter tops and new appliances. We offer some breakfast foods and coffee for our guests.
The house is located in the Santa Monica Mountains, 6 minutes from the 101 freeway and 10 minutes from Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu beaches. Pepperdine University is only 12 minutes away. Within walking distance are two new wineries called "Sip" and "Cornell" as well as a great restaurant known as "The Old Place." There are also great places to hike near by. Two major state parks are close, one located just down the street. Although there is much to do, the area and neighborhood is peaceful and quiet.
We are an accommodating and nice family of three (Mom, daughter-27, son-29) and will gladly talk with you about places and sites to check out. We also have two small dogs named Ihop and Stella, both very friendly.
The house has a pool that you are free to use, however it's not heated other than a warming cover. In the summertime the pool is very refreshing with lounge chairs and floats to relax in. We hope you stay with us!
Karen and Chase were perfect hosts. Everything was very easy going without any problem. The room was beautiful, the house charming and the place quiet and peaceful. Karen served a nice breakfast and the coffee was perfect! I definitely can recommend both the place and Karen and Chase as hosts.
We just had a short stay at Karen's and Chase's home. They were both friendly and helpful and we got a big delicious breakfast! The location is great but a bit far away of other things to see (like Malibu). So as a long as you have a car and don't mind to drive it's perfect!
Karen and Chase are the perfect hosts! They are very welcoming, open and do everything to make your stay memorable. We got spoiled with an amazing breakfast and they provided us with great tips for the area. The room is very clean and cosy and we loved the morning sunshine in the room. We would come back anytime and highly recommend this amazing place!
I loved staying with Chase and Karen and have only positive things to say about my visit. I was in town for business--a conference at Pepperdine and found the location to be convenient and peaceful. Their home was beautiful and they were the perfect hosts. Karen laid out a breakfast of champions for me and they provided helpful suggestions on local places to eat and visit (loved the Western Town at the nearby Paramount Ranch). I also like a fair amount of privacy and they were good with that too. I felt safe and I liked the calm of their neighborhood. I highly recommend them and I hope that I will get the chance to return.
If you are looking for a nice, clean, friendly and cosy house in a peaceful surrounding, this is the place to go.
Karen and Chase will make you feel as if you were at home. A very diversified and nice breakfast will wait for you in the morning, making the start of the day even better after having seen the sun coming in the bedroom.
The dogs are so well behaved that they will be just as you want them to be ! stay clear of you if you prefer or very friendly if you are dogs lovers.
It is really a great place! Thanks for everything.
Beautiful people, beautiful place, beautiful stay.
I only have to say everything was perfect. It was such a beautiful house and the host was absolutely friendly and cooperative. The house was totally clean, we had breakfast and the area was pretty nice. I really can recommend it!! :)
Our stay in Karen's place was really sweet. She really take care of us while we were in Malibu and gave us some great recommendations of places to go. I hope we will see each others again and I hope to be back in her place one day.
We booked at the last minute and Chase's mom graciously accepted our request.
When we drove up, we weren't sure where the house was as the driveway situation was a little confusing. Our hostess was really nice; we talked to her a few minutes and then made our way to our room.
I had hurt my hip that day, so the trek to the 3rd floor was a little slow (fortunately for us, Chase wasn't there, so we could use the toilet on the 3rd floor). The shower was on the main level and the tub itself was clean, although the bathroom floor definitely needed some love.
We had a nice night with the whole 3rd floor to ourselves; we watched tv and relaxed. The bed was comfy on the door side -- which was were I had laid down to read. When it came to sleeping, I took the other side. Oops. Should have stayed where I was...so, if you are the "travel agent" in your household, read this and don't say a word. Just take the side next to the door and you will have a fantastic night of sleep!
Our hostess left us a HUGE continental breakfast. We grabbed a couple of things and made our way out the front door.
Nice lady, comfortable place.
