  • Our stay with André and Marie-José was fantastic. We were a group of 8 people staying there and they were so welcoming and accommodating. Marie-José helped us book dinner in a lovely restaurant in town. The house is really interesting and so lovely to hear the story of their life. We will definitely stay with them if we are in that area again

  • Although we only stayed one night, it was very enjoyable. Marie Jose was very friendly and welcoming, offering us drinks on the patio and information about the surrounding area. The property is beautiful and Puynormand is beautiful old (website hidden) Emilion is also lovely and a short picturesque drive away.

  • Had a great stay. However, I found the home while searching under entire home. It is not an entire home and no kitchen is available. I also told them that I was traveling with my elderly mom that did not walk well. They responded but did not inform me that my mom would have to climb 20 steps to sleep.

  • I wish I could give this stay 6 or more stars. Mamie and Papi provided hospitality that went above and beyond our expectations. They took care of us from the moment we arrived with wonderful food, rides around town, and even medicine and "mommy" love when I got sick the last day.

The house is beautiful and comfortable and feels like "coming home." The value for this listing is unmatched. We highly recommend staying with Mamie and Papi and plan to return in the future. Thank you!

  • Our stay at La Famille's house was nothing short of magical. We could not have imagined a better setting, better atmosphere, and certainly not least of all, better hosts. It was our first time in France and our only fear is that we know there is nothing that could possibly compare to this stay - the bar has been set very high indeed! Marie-Jose and Andre were accommodating, loving, thoughtful, and just wonderful to be around. The history of the house is absolutely spell binding, but just as impressive are the stories behind the things that make the house a home. An endless amount of artefacts from their travels kept us in awe throughout our entire stay, and as avid travellers ourselves, we certainly appreciated both the material homage to places far away, but also to the mindset that La Famille has clearly retained from their life abroad. We can't say enough kind words about the place or the hosts. All we know is that we'll be back as soon as we're able, and we'll dream about it until then!

  • Every thing about this stay resonated with us. The house is quirky but very comfortable. Andre and Marie are attentive, warm and welcoming. They also share their lives with you to the extent that you wish. We covered art, history, dance, family, food, wine, timber and much more and still had time to explore the region. We felt at home. No greater compliment is available.

  • One of the most wonderful places we have ever stayed! This place is just full of warmth and charm and felt instantly welcome. Marie may be the most lovable energetic person we have met whilst traveling, her energy and generosity should be experienced by everyone at least once in a lifetime. The ride though vineyards in an 84 year old car will live with us forever. Never been so sad to leave as we were when departing Puynormand. Thank you Marie and Andre, we will never forget and hope to return one day.
