The Space

One bedroom apartment in a limestone townhouse in the historical section of Park Slope. Huge bay window, beautiful original detailing, new state of the art kitchen, large bathtub, HD TV with cable, comfortable antique and modern furniture.

Choice location. Only one block from the Grand Army Plaza entrance to Prospect Park and Brooklyn Public Library and less than half a mile from the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Gardens. Convenient to subway, buses, restaurants, bars, banks, post office, retail and located among some of the most unique architecture in all of New York City. 5 minute walk from 2/3 and B/Q trains; 10 minute walk to F/G trains. One short block from the 7th Avenue shopping and restaurant district and three blocks to 5th Avenue. One block from grocery store. Laundry in basement.

Have an authentic Brooklyn Brownstone experience. Original building was a Limestone mansion belonging to the Wrigley Family.

Perfect size for a couple.

  • We loved staying at Jessica's apartment! We were very close to everything that we wanted to be including our son and family. Jessica was available and helpful with information on the area and a really neat book on the history and architecture. My husband and I also enjoyed having wifi in the apartment. Although we didn't use the kitchen except to boil water, it would have been very adequate to cook a meal. Love the old brownstones and walk-ups. She did warn us of the 3 floors as some people our age may not manage well. Wished for a queen bed instead of full, but we did sleep well. Thanks, Jessica

  • The apartment was great and the neighborhood was wonderful to explore. Jessica was a fabulous host - providing great neighborhood tips, maps, wifi access, and even stopping by to drop off an extra blanket for us when it got a bit chillier than expected. Couldn't have asked for more. Thanks so much!

  • Great apartment with everything I needed for my 2 week stay. Really convenient location in Park Slope / Brooklyn: close to shops, restaurants, cafes and Brooklyn attractions. Would definitely recommend the apartment and stay again! Also, Jessica was very accommodating and always quick with responses from beginning to end.

  • Everything was perfect with Jesse's place. Great location, airy (ceilings fans on those hot summer nights), light (beautiful large windows that open) and very comfortable. Jesse is a great host, she communicates clearly and made us feel welcome. The apartment is in a beautiful historic building which adds to a unique stay in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We hope to stay again at some point in the future.

  • Jessica was a great host and easy to contact when I got into some trouble with keys on the first day (fixed quickly by a neighbour oiling the lock).
She left useful neighbourhood information/maps and a tidy and clean apartment with lots of interesting art and design features in a lovely brownstone building.
The area was very quiet but still convenient for subway/buses and other amenities.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area!

  • Have been in Jessica's apartment twice and really enjoyed myself there. The neighborhood has an interesting history and beautiful brownstone houses and the lovely Prospect Park next door. Also nice shops and delicatesses thrown around in the area and easy to get from Manhattan to Brooklyn. The street is quiet and non-violent and you feel very safe there. The apartment is cozy and furnished in a personal, nice way with all amenities needed, and Jessica is a friendly host who provides her guests with tips for sight seeing, magazines and a very nice bed to sleep in.

    Highly recommended.

  • Location! Location! Location!
Great and beautiful historic area of Brooklyn. Very quiet and friendly. Just 2 minutes from a park, but from the other hand just 1 block from shops, restaurants, supermarkets.
Very close to the subway, just 15 min from Manhattan.

The apartment itself is also great: very comfortable and clean. We are 100% satified!
Jessica herself met us and gave us all the necessary instructions and recommendations to make our stay really perfect.

Thanks a lot for those amazing days spent in Brooklyn!

  • We stayed in this apartment for a week, it tops the pictures in the entry, it is so clean, tidy and beautiful, full of little, cool details like original Brooklyn-style window shutters, a tomato plant on the windowsill and a peephole in the door that is an example of craftsmanship from days way back when... Jessica is such a thoughtful host, it has been absolutely problem free to make arrangements and deal with her. Plus she's very cool and easy to talk to. She has lots of tips about the neighbourhood, and proved to be a very knowledgeable host. (The Italian place she recommended turned out to be one of my most grand pasta experiences ever!) Park Slope is great - lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops and even some nice bars. We almost felt like we didn't have to go to Manhattan at all... But getting to Manhattan from Jessicas place is not hard, and does not take a long time. We're definitely coming back!

  • We highly recommend to stay at Jesse's apartment! Why? It is located at a pretty and safe neighborhood in Brooklyn: Park Slope. You'll enjoy to take a walk and admire the beauty of its brownstone buildings. You can walk a couple of blocks, and you're in the beautiful Grand Army Plaza, the main entrance to Prospect Park, and then you walk 1 block more and you're now in the Brooklyn Museum and the Botanic Garden. What it is really convenient is that two subway stations are very close to Jesse's place so if you're visiting Manhattan, take the subway and in 18 minutes you'll be there! The apartment is as it shown in the pictures, clean and neat; it is perfect for a couple.
Jesse was so nice and accessible since the beginning. She even told a taxi driver she knows, that we were going to text him the day of our arrival to the airport. She gave us a list with the apartment's features and walking instructions to a grocery store and recommended restaurants, among other places around the area.
We had a fabulous vacation in New York and it was also due to Jesse's place. We strongly recommend it!!

  • Jessica's apartment is exactly as shown in her pictures. She was very nice to clear space in the fridge for us and provided an entire closet for our use. The bed was nice and firm. She left us a welcome letter with instructions and recommendations for local shops and sights to see.
The place is a short walk to shops and subway stations that take you straight from Penn Station or to downtown. She was a very welcoming and friendly hostess throughout our communications. We'd definitely stay there again if we visit NYC again. Park Slope has safe and beautiful streets so we felt safe walking to and from the subway stations at night with our young daughter. Thanks Jessica for hosting!
