The Studio "Dar Zembra" is located in the heart of the Arab Andalusian village of SIDI BOU SAID. It is 15 km away from the airport and 2 km away from the archaeological site of Carthage.

The space

The flat"Dar Zembra" is located in a quiet winding lane in the heart of the historic village of SIDI BOU SAID. Considered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is on the ground floor of a traditional house (northwest direction) a few steps from the legendary "Café des Nattes", where had lounged several famous personalities like Gustave Flaubert, A.Gide, S. Bauvoire, J.Cocteau and some other iconic painters like Paul KleeI...
It is a two-people-studio, its central position makes it close to shops and different transport means. Appropriately air-conditioned (hot / cold), it has been renovated in January 2014, it consists of a very cute piece and a cozy alcove bed adequate for two persons. It is equipped with a functional and pleasant Kitchenette (2 burner stove, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle, a juicer). There’s also an agreeable bathroom, linens (sheets, towels), hair dryer, iron, satellite TV, put available to ensure the comfort of this studio. The entrance to this studio is independent.

Moncef is a great host. As we arrived we found a cozy appartement beeing tidy and clean. Located in the heart of Sidi Bou Said, you can find beautiful cafes like Cafe des Nattes or having a good view over the Mediterranean Sea. Additionally it is very easy to get Taxies to discover the city.

I highly recommend this cozy little place for anyone who wants a taste of the real Sidi Bou Said. It is in an old house at the end of a quiet street, yet right in the heart of the beautiful tourist district. The bed is very comfortable and bathroom and kitchen are amazingly well equipped for such a small space. Moncef has thought of everything and is very helpful without being intrusive.

Moncef's place was very impressive!! Although quite small, it was perfect for a solo or a couple traveling to one of the most renowned places in Tunis, Sidi Busaid. Host was great and welcoming and the place had everything we needed, they even included breakfast treats which were greatly appreciated since we had arrived quite hungry that afternoon. Thank you so much guys!!

Description is accurate. Lovely, cool,& cozy self-contained cottage that could be uncomfortable if you are over 170cm tall due to the low doorways. Cobblestone steps are a bit difficult withe roley luggage & take care not to pay more that 20 Tunisian dinars for a taxi from the airport. Well equipped enough for breakfast, showers & sleep with TV or Internet to stay in touch with the outside world if needed but I suggest you avoid it here. Steps away from your door, in the midst of the quaint medieval village are restaurants, cafés, shops & more. Walking around nearby are gorgeous views of Tunis. The path 365 steps down the hillside close by will take you to the Marina or the Le Pirate restaurant. 10 minute taxi-ride to Carthage museum (10 TND entrance fee & 1 TND for photos ), punic ruins & so on (don't pay more than 5 TND & be sure to have change) or walk down the hill to the local train station would love to stay here again!
