The fitted kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwich-maker, and washing machine. Hot water is provided by an electric immersion heater located in a cupboard in the kitchen.
There is free residents’ parking behind the apartment block and a free residents-only swimming pool close by in a secluded grassy area with plenty of shade. The pool is open from mid-June to mid-September. I can provide additional towels for the pool or beach. There is a tennis court adjacent to the pool.
The apartment is on the 5th floor (elevator) of a block in a mainly Spanish part of the town within 2 minutes´ walk of bars, restaurants, shops, banks, pharmacies and supermarkets. The balcony has a sea view and looks over the bay towards Málaga.
10 minutes’ walk will bring you to the pedestrianised calle San Miguel, where hundreds of people gather to enjoy the hustle and bustle of this shopping centre: there are restaurants, cafés, bars and interesting stores everywhere.
20 minutes’ walk away is the beach. There are plenty of sunbeds (with shade) for hire and a great selection of chiringuitos (fish restaurants) and bars on the beach if you plan to spend all day there.
Málaga airport is 10 minutes away by car (taxi is €19) or 15 minutes by suburban train from the station in the centre of Torremolinos (€1.65). This station is 10 minutes´ walk from the apartment. Málaga city (25 minutes) and Fuengirola (30 minutes) are at either end of this train service.
Days out to Gibraltar and Algeciras with ferries to Africa (Ceuta and Tangiers, Morocco), Ronda, Seville, Córdoba and Granada are possible and are about 2 to 3 hours car drive away. There are also bus tours to these places from the centre of Torremolinos.
From December 1 to May 1 you can go skiing in the Sierra Nevada either by car (2 hours) or on an excursion. The ski resort has 100 Km. of slopes starting at 2200 m. over sea level going up to more than 3,000 m. It is possible to rent ski equipment at the resort.
1. The price for the room is all-inclusive (except for breakfast, and phone calls or any other mutually-agreed add-ons). The charge is the same whether it is occupied by one or two people.
2. There is an additional charge of €5 for single night stays. Single night stays are not bookable in July and August.
5. The room normally has a two single beds but I can usually provide a double bed instead if you give me plenty of notice.
4. Although there is an elevator from the entrance lobby to the 5th floor there are a few steps from pavement level to the elevator. For this reason the apartment is not really suitable for wheelchair users, especially if they are unaccompanied.
Please do not smoke anywhere in the apartment (including the balcony), the elevator or any of the common areas within the building.
Hours of entry and departure from the room will be as flexible as possible but will depend on other guests if there is any overlap. I can look after your luggage even if you do not have access to your room.
The room price does not include breakfast but if I am there I can do so by arrangement for extra charge if you wish. You are welcome to provide your own and use the kitchen to prepare it. Alternatively there are plenty of bars and cafés close by where you can buy breakfast at reasonable prices.
If you want to prepare your own meals and I am in the flat please let me know in advance so we do not clash in the kitchen.
Please leave the apartment in the condition you find it, especially if I am not there when you leave as there may be other guests following on after you. There are cleaning equipment and materials in the cupboard in the kitchen.
