About this listing
I am close to the Rome City Center in Trastevere where the Roman night life is. I have a good wireless inter-net system in the whole house.
The apartment is about 70 square mt. There is one small study room with a sofa bed which can be opened for extra guests. There is a large living room with a sleeping sofa and an open kitchen. A nice bedroom with an ancient chinese style bed. Nice large bathroom with tub. And two nice balconies where you can also eat breakfast or lunch. You can find parking spots on the street where I live.
The house is very beautiful with ancient chinese furniture wooden floor and a lot of sunshine. A totally authentic chinese 30`s style house with a beautiful bedroom newly renovated.
The neighborhood is very lively with nice restaurants and pubs. It is a very high level residential area in the city center of Rome. A maximum of three people can stay in the apartment but it is better for two people. There is one single bed in the bedroom. A sleeping sofa in the living room and an extra openable sofa bed in the study room.
The public transport from the apartment is very convenient as there is a main train station of Trastevere coming from the airport which is very near and a number 8 tramway line going directly to the city center and to the train station.
It is a unique place for anyone who wants to experience Rome and to live in a very high-end luxury apartment.
Kitchen, bathroom, bathtub, balcony with eating table outside
Interaction with Guests
I like to help out my guests when I can I pick them up from the train station and tell them about good places to see and where to eat. They can also call me anytime if they have any trouble or questions during their stay.
There are some nice places near my apartment not touristic. It`s a lively young neighborhood and it`s "real" Rome. Not a tourist spot but where roman people really live. There are nice pubs cafe`s and a very good pizza place just where the romans from the neighborhood actually go to eat.
It is very well connected with bus no. 8 which goes directly to Pzza Argentina & Pzza Venezia. Also to Trastevere train station.
The only rule is to take your shoes off when you enter the house. It is a wonderful habit I learned during my 8 years of living in China and i find it very useful for preserving the nice cozy wooden floor of the house and for keeping dirt ouside.
I also hope you can respect all objects in the house. As i leave for business I sometimes rent the house for short periods so I leave all my personal belongings in the apartment. That is why I ask for deposit to avoid stealing or loss.
I also ask for an extra charge of 50 euros for late check in which is after 9 pm.
Maria Cristina is a lovely person and very welcoming. The house is absolutely magnificent with tasteful furniture and all thinkable comforts. i stayed a month in her apartment and enjoyed it very much. the area is nice and quiet and even during hot summer days the house stayed cool. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying longer or shorter periods in Rome.
We have enjoyed our stay in Maria Cristina's apartment very much. The apartment is exactly as presented in the pictures, clean, well organized and quiet. Everything in the apartment is in good working condition. The area is nice, lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Very easy access to the central area, using #8 tram. Just one tram stop from Trastevere train station, from where you can do directly to Fiumicino airport.
Beautiful apartment in a great location, convenient to the 8 tram to the historic center and easy street parking for weekend trips. Grocery stores and shopping are all in walking distance. The gorgeous Chinese furniture and art made this apartment feel like a true home.
I stayed here for almost 3 months, and hated to leave. The only drawback during my stay was the lack of heat due to an administrative problem at the building.
Hi Dear Kate, It was great having you as a guest and hope you will come back to Italy soon! I am sorry about the problem with the heating, but really it was not my fault, it seems that the administrator of our building did not pay for the heating and ran away with the money!Anyway the situation now should be getting solved.
We had a great weekend at Maria Cristina's place. The apartment is spacious but cosy and very homelike - ideal for those who are tired of the anonymous feel of a hotel. The neighbourhood is nice and quit and a good break from the bustling of the old city, however the place is perfectly suited as a base for exploring ancient Rome since it is close to the tram line which will take you literally to the centre. I wholeheartedly recommend this listing!
Maria Christina has a nice, clean and bright apartment in beautiful part of Rome - Trastevere. The apartment is also beautifully decorated.
Close to the apartment there is tram which goes to the city centre.
She is really nice, helpful and a great host.
I would recommend Marias apartment to everyone going to Rome.
