Transport yourself to The Nature Coast Beacon, a 5 acre paradise, nestled between neighboring ranches, adjacent to the Withlacoochee Forest; voted one of the "10 Coolest Places You've Never Been in North America" by the WWF. You'll understand why when you visit. Mature trees, pines and oaks sprinkle and line the property, creating a magical space to unwind and transform.

This listing if for the 1 bedroom/1 bathroom, fully private, apartment. It does not have a standard sized oven.

The space
"Named one of the "10 Coolest Places You've Never Been in North America" by the World Wildlife Fund, the Withlacoochee State Forest is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts."(fdacs) You'll find this property an extension of that energy since it's practically smack dab in it, yet just far away and fenced enough to keep domestic critters relatively safe. We keep the gate shut, for this reason and because there is a horse on property.

The living space has been designed with retreating and adventure in mind. It is very quiet and provides much privacy. With two entrances, you can keep to yourself or mingle with other guests in the outside pool hall. Look for aligned vacancy dates to rent both and share the fun.

The main entrance opens to a large foyer, useful for storing all your gear. A large sliding glass door with ample windows brings the outside of the magnificent property in to the bedroom. The large livingroom/diningroom/kitchenette area can easily accommodate additional guests, with coordination and for an extra fee. You will find an 85" Samsung TV, with HBO provided, that will accommodate most entertainment subscriptions. Feel free to bring your gaming system and HDMI cable. The box on the wall gives you easy access, without having to touch the screen.

The bathroom is private and well equipped. There is independent heat and AC options to keep this area comfortable to your liking and there are windows you may open. It includes a walk in, custom designed and tiled, shower with two sides. One is jetted, the other has a built in bench and rainshower faucet. See if you can find the hammerhead in the shower :-) You may open the window in the shower, if you choose. A large capacity stacked washer/dryer is in here for your use. It's is outfitted with automatic soap and softener.

Guests may park in the designated parking spot on the parking pad or under the large carport. You may choose to hang out under the carport, where a few sitting chairs and tables are provided. It is right outside the bedroom sliding glass door. There is room on the property for boat parking. A 30 Amp hook up is available for an RV, boat or electric vehicle if you have the adapter.

There is no actual kitchen. However, there is a full sized, Bespoke refrigerator with TWO different sized ice cubes and cold water autofill pitcher, microwave, mini electric oven with multiple functions, an electric grill and skillet, instant pot, electric burner and coffee maker. So far, a guest has not asked for what is not yet provided. Feel free to inquire, though. There is a large, gas grill, with two side burners and two charcoal grills, one very small and one rather large, for outside cooking.

The space doesn't present any specific hazards but has not been "child proofed".

Guest access
As a guest in the Oasis at the Beacon, you will have run of the front 3 acres along with any other guests in the other units, also available to rent on property. There is enough space for everyone to keep to themselves or you can join up at the pool table terrace, which is available to all. The property owners dogs and horse are kept to the back 2 acres, where access to guests is not permitted. The four cats roam free. ***Pool table is on opposite side of the house from the unit*** I currently have a couple with teenage kids enjoying the distance 😀 If you want to use it, or see the horse, during your stay, please let us know in advance. That way, we can explore and strive to accommodate your request. We want you to enjoy The Nature Coast Beacon and it's residents, if you are called to do so. If you'd like more lights on or blinds open, just ask or help yourself.

Quiet horse neighborhood with no through traffic six miles from the new 589 expressway. Short drive to Crystal River and Homosassa provides water access, wildlife viewing and dining options. The luxuries of home, and then some. You'll feel like you have the whole place to yourself. Plenty of privacy, peaceful surroundings and nature to reset your soul and get back to basics.
