After a fun-filled day of exploring all the wonders of New York City, return to a private, cozy, and fully-equipped apartment located in on the ground-floor of a historic three-story 1899 Brownstone in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. Subway lines are located within a 8-10 minute walk and get into Manhattan in 25 to 30 minutes.

While the host resides in the property, guests are assured tons of privacy as they have sole use and access of two bedrooms and a private bathroom.

The space
The apartment is located on the ground floor of a classical Brooklyn Brownstone built in 1899. The first floor is used as the rental unit. In the rental unit there are two small, cozy, and comfortable bedrooms with ample closet space. The bathroom is for guests only and is equipped with a hairdryer and other amenities such as shampoo, hair conditioner, and body gel. Guests have a great deal of privacy separate from the host.

There is a lovely living room, dining room and kitchen equipped with most cooking needs. Kitchen also has a counter for eating.

Guest have full access to a lovely backyard garden and there is a gas barbecue grill for use.

The apartment is located in Brooklyn, and not in Manhattan and if a 30 minute subway ride is too long then this location is probably not the best choice for you.

It should be noted that the apartment is located conveniently to several subway (Metro) lines. The J/M lines at Halsey St. Station is within a 8-10 minute walk from the apartment. You can get into Manhattan in 25 to 30 minutes. The C/A lines at Ralph Ave. Station is also within an 8-10 minute walk from the apartment and it will take 25-30 minutes to get into Manhattan.

Guest access
Guests have full access to all rooms in the entire apartment, like bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, and backyard garden. Keep in mind that host owner is and will be living in the apartment with the guest, however guests have their own private bathroom.

In keeping with NYC laws and regulation is should be noted that the host lives on the property.

During your stay
Guests lead the way in determining the level of interaction that they wish to have with the host. I am here to assist you during your stay and will be available to answer your questions and your concerns. However, your privacy and my privacy is of the utmost importance.

Other things to note
There is ample free parking on the street. There is no private garage or parking space on the premises.

Guests have their own private entrance to the apartment and to the backyard garden.

This is a non-smoking apartment and pets are not allowed.

Neighborhood highlights

The apartment is located in the Stuyvesant Heights section of Brooklyn, which is a unique area of New York City that went from Dutch Colonial farmland to socialite paradise to a black cultural center. According to Poole on citysignal.com, “Today, the Stuyvesant Heights historic district is one of the most coveted neighborhoods to live in. Recent gentrification has driven prices up, but the effort to preserve the historic and black roots of the neighborhood keeps the area humble and grounded. The protected brownstones lining the streets of Stuyvesant Heights keep the area a “low rise” neighborhood, vastly different from the newer homes and high rises that are beginning to pepper the rest of Bed-Stuy.”

The area is a multicultural haven and changing daily. The area boasts traditional African-American food eateries, upscale French food, Vegan, Indian, Mexican, and Caribbean food abounds.

The apartment is on a street where neighbors know each other and the usual exchange of “good morning”, is just that.

Close to both John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport, the apartment is conveniently located. In addition, major subway lines such as the A, C, J, and Z are quick walks about 7 minutes from the apartment.
