The Space

We love to travel and love enabling others to travel. We have a LICENSED 35' Winnebago RV hooked up in our backyard in a great Central East Austin location.

We are close to downtown, east 7th st, the train station, local grocery stores, bus lines to downtown, and quick access to I-35, Airport, 183 and 71 without dealing with rush hour traffic!!!

Rig is complete with comfy beds (1 plush king with mattress protector, 2 twin bunks, and 1 couch makes into a double) and bedding, towels, fully stocked kitchen accessories (coffee maker, toaster, microwave). We have wifi and 4 TVs with local channels and main TV has internet TV with hulu and netflix. We also have a large lot of VHS tapes for your viewing pleasure (both Disney for the kids and non-Disney).

I always have organic coffee, creamer and sugar available but if you prefer tea please let me know.

The RV has 2 air conditioners (Austin gets hot), house heater and complete bathroom - fully functional sink, toilet and shower.

Dogs are fine, fenced backyard but no cats please.

No smoking allowed in RV or on property.

Guest Access

HDTV with roku (netflix, hulu, etc), wifi, plenty of parking, large private backyard, outside radio on RV.

Interaction with Guests

I can be there for your check in or just leave you a key, you let me know your preference. You will feel absolutely private in this backyard.

  • Keturah was a helpful and communicative host, check in was convenient and painless and close to downtown 6th street. Plenty parking in driveway and road since we have 2 cars. Very comfortable for 6 of us in the rv, king bed fit 4 of us. We didn't use the kitchen for anything.

  • We stayed 4 nights in beginning of May 2014. During the day it gets hot and cold at night. RV was comfortable that AC kicked in with thermostat when it was getting bit warm. RV had a space heater during the nights when it got colder. It is huge RV with plush queen size or possibly king size. We slept really well on it. Very spacious for 2 of us. Water pressure of shower / faucet / kitchen sink is great! We made coffee in the morning every day. Keturah had coffee beans and cream / milk in the fridge for us to use. She even had few bottles of water and beers!! RV is really clean and very private. In her backyard, there is tree deck you can climb up to catch morning breeze. She left us alone but we kept communication right. We notified things happening around RV, she came to check it out very next day. She is very easy to deal with and we even ended up contacting her 2 am trying to find RV. She was nice enough to pick up our call and helped us find it. We are very satisfied with everything! No complain. Two thumbs up! We definitely stay at her RV again. It is not too far from downtown area as well. Thanks Keturah!!

  • Keturah was a helpful and communicative host, check in was convenient and painless and she provided some suggestions for activities in the area. The RV is really good fun, especially if you've never seen one before. It has all the amenities of an apartment, I recommend the experience!

  • This was seriously almost like staying in an apartment--whole kitchen with a range, microwave, fridge and freezer, bunks, a king, a full, a bathroom, and central air, and entertainment/wifi system! Add to that its close proximity to downtown and central Austin and you have a winner! And it's a nice little neighborhood too.

  • My family had a great stay at the RV. My children loved the trampoline and the tree house. The RV was big enough for my family and its location was very convenient for us: 3 miles from UT Austin. Keturah provided us with a notebook with instructions, so it made the stay smooth. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Austin, I recommend this RV. We will definitely book it again in the future.

  • The RV is very comfortable and our stay was great. The location was perfect for us as we were traveling to the downtown Capitol area everyday and it only took 5-10 minutes to get there with no traffic regardless of the time of day. The neighborhood was a bit unsettling at first glance, but it is an up-and-coming area and we felt perfectly safe while there even coming in late at night. All in all, well worth the cost and I would return again!

  • This was a great experience. May be addicted to camper living. We didn't get to meet our host because we got in so late and left so early but she made sure we had everything we needed. The camper was very very comfortable and felt like home. And since we were traveling across country and unexpectedly found ourselves in Austin we were very grateful to be able to book the camper on short notice the week sxsw was about to start up. Also she allowed our dog to stay which was amazingly helpful.

  • This was our first experience with using an RV as a home base, and we are hooked! The rig is spacious, private, and chocked full with the amenities that you expect in a house or apartment. The "mysteries" of the bathroom functions were non-issues, and we were able to use the fixtures without forethought. The kitchen is fully equipped, not just with the standard appliances, but also with all necessary tools, making meal preparation simple. The best amenity, in our joint opinion, was the size and comfort of the bed. Who knew a king-size mattress is doable in an RV? One additional feature that we appreciated were the two tvs and use of Hulu/Netflix, etc. The location of the site worked well for us, and we were able to access the bus system from nearby stops quite easily. Speaking of transportation, Keturah and Travis were kind enough to let us plug in our car during our stay. Overall, the accommodations helped to make our trip to Austin extra memorable. If you are looking for a unique and affordable experience, without having to make sacrifices, this is the place for you.
