Come stay in our spacious home in walking distance of Cal Poly (10 min) and downtown (25 min). Full of color, light, art and folk art, the house was designed in early 90's by Steven Pults. Now, with our kids gone, we're happy to share it with you.
You are looking at Trudy's room, which is small and sweet and has lovely afternoon light. It has its own bathroom, an excellent mattress on a double bed, a desk and a chair.
Guests can use the gardens, back deck and the pleasant ground floor living room anytime, as well as the kitchen in the morning or if we're not using it.
We ask that you respect our family's daily routines when using the space on the second floor: the kitchen at dinner time, the dining room and the back room. Feel free to make yourself at home if no one else is using the those areas.
The third floor is private.
Tom and I love sharing our home with guests from around the world. Travelers ourselves and hosts to exchange students and SERVAS travelers for years before discovering Airbnb, there's nothing we enjoy more (email hidden)ly conversation at the dining room table, on the deck, or by the fire.
We're 7 miles from the beach and an hour from Hearst Castle. Great wineries close by in Edna Valley, Paso Robles and Arroyo Grande. San Luis has amazingly good weather year (email hidden)ly downtown, many excellent restaurants, wonderful music and arts, and the best chocolate around.
A bus stop two blocks away, about a mile from the Amtrak station. Street parking for one car, easy freeway access. Lovely walking neighborhood.

Eve's home is quiet, comfortable and relaxed. My son is a student at Cal Poly and they are very close to the campus, but in quiet, easy-going neighborhood. Eve's home is clean, a little funky in the best possible way, and she is a wonderful host.
Eve is lovely in every way and her place in SLO has all the right touches for a getaway weekend. What a beautiful property. Our only regret is that we were out exploring the town and didn't spend enough time smelling the flowers in the front or back gardens. What a great way to spend Valentine's Day weekend.
Very nice community to live in. House is well decorated with very cute doggy, the lily bear. Everything is fine.
We stayed in this wonderful home for 1 night, while moving our son into Cal Poly. It is very close to campus. The room was clean, there was no problems at all. Eve was not there, but she had a friend coordinate it all, and it worked out just fine.
Loved Eve's place! Had a wonderful two days. Extremely nice, clean, and private stay.
This was our first air bnb experience and we had a very pleasant stay. Although Eve was traveling, her friend was house sitting and was very acocomodating, warm and friendly. The room we stayed in was clean with a private bathroom. We recommend this home to anyone traveling.
Our stay was everything as promised and then some. Our room and bathroom were comfortable and absolutely immaculate; the house is lovely; and the location is ideal. Our only disappointment was not arriving early enough or leaving late enough to spend more time with such helpful, organized, delightful, interesting hosts. We look forward to spending time with them next time we head through San Luis Obispo.
Eve and Tom are experienced hosts who go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The house is beautiful, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet. We would go back in a heartbeat!
Eve was a kind host and they are an interesting couple, which is reflected in the eclectic decor in their roomy house. And the dog is a sweetheart. I especially enjoyed sitting on the 2nd floor deck in the afternoon breezes. Guests have their own fridge and there's plenty of space in the kitchen to put together snacks, coffee, etc. Great location, with 101, campus and downtown easy to get to.
