What you see in this apartment is not what you get. The photographs of the outside of the building are accurate, as are the descriptions of the neighborhood. However, photos and text regarding the apartment itself, need to be updated. The changes they have made are more than “a bit” as described in the narrative.
First, there is no longer a living room - there is no sofa, no white chairs & no TV. The bedroom shown is now a nursery with crib. The bed has been moved to the former living room. We found the bed placed with the long side against the wall, which we had to turn so we could lean our backs against the wall to read. The pictured nightstand is gone, so we used kids’ chairs from the nursery and lamps from other areas for reading lights. There are now two, low “camp style” canvas chairs with leather straps for armrests and the black canvas chair for sitting in the room with the bed.
The bathroom is now painted dark grey with minimal lighting. The shelves in the toilet area are gone and drywall removed to expose a brick dividing wall; towel rack/shelf is gone and one now hangs towels on the ladder which is where the shelf was. A low, wooden chest is left of the sink & a small cabinet has been mounted on the wall right near the shower; these two additions make exiting the shower a little tricky.
Kitchen cabinets have been covered with gray material, handles removed and brown twine is now used for drawer pulls. The dining table is now a larger wooden table and a shelf has been added to the wall above the table, to the right of where the wall clock used to be. This makes for a cramped dining experience, especially for 4 or if wanting to open the fridge. The chair by the back door no longer exists and the red espresso machine has been replaced by a Nespresso.
Entry hall lighting is reduced to one low hanging light fixture…. so that area, as well as the bathroom is fairly dark. Coat rack and shoe shelves in this hallway were filled with owner items, as were bathroom surfaces and shower stall baskets. We had to move their items to other locations to make space for our stuff. There was a small portable clothes rack in the nursery for hanging clothes, but no drawer space was provided for folded items.
We reserved this apartment in March for the entire month of July. Had accurate photos of this apartment been posted we never would have considered it for a month long stay because we really needed and wanted a place with a proper bedroom and living room. Someone posted in May that the living room no longer existed. Had we been informed of this important change to this apartment we would have cancelled the reservation. .
The apartment is very nice, great location! Just few minutes walk from the subway. We came with our daughter (3 year old) and she also enjoyed the garden!
Laure and Niklas were very flexible with the check in and check out process.
I would definitely recommend it!
All things in the apartment are pretty :) It has been decorated with so much style! Only thing to be aware of, is that the living room in the pictures has now become the bed room, and the bed room is the baby room. Next to the bed a small sitting area is created with two chairs, and of course you can also sit at the diner table in the kitchen. The apartment has a wonderful garden which is shared with the other apartments in the building, with many spots to enjoy the sun. Niklas and Laura were very helpful, they even had bikes for us to borrow. And they were flexible in when we could arrive and leave. I would definitely recommend to stay here!
The reservation was canceled 131 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a really lovely stay at Laura & Niklas' apartment. Communication was quick and easy from the beginning and Laura was waiting for us on arrival and then kind enough to let us stash our bags at the apartment to pick up before our late flight. The apartment was exactly as described and had a really nice feel with lots of design touches. We liked the area as a place to stay and it was very easy to get in and out of copenhagen centre and to the airport etc. Would definitely recommend!!
We had a wonderful time at Niklas and Laura's apartment. The apartment was very nicely decorated with all kinds of design elements. The apartment is situated in a quit neighborhood and the subway is a few minutes walk away. We would definitely recommend staying at Niklas and Laura's apartement
About the Host, Niklas & Laura
We are Niklas&Laura, we have the most wonderful little daughter Isolde.
We love our own apartment, and really wouldn't live any other place, but we do love to travel and see new places and experience different cites and cultures. We try to be as local wherever we are, eat local and meet new people.
We are creative people and have done a lot of different stuff, as well as our interest is in a wide range. But mainly we are into architecture, design and art. We create solutions to specific situations and we love things with a history.
