A gorgeous modern self contained apartment within our Victorian house with its own entrance and cute back garden. The apartment is extremely well located for many tourist areas of London and the local daily markets and shops, including a great 24/7 grocery/deli just 2 minutes away.
The apartment is within an 1870's house, but has a modern very characterful design, making full use of the space. You enter through the side gate, walk through the garden across the decking and into the apartment though the double doors. It's has a lovely cosy atmosphere and is a real den to escape to.
The first space you come to is the lounge with lots of very comfortable large bean bags and cushions. The small kitchen area is off to one side and includes all the regular kitchen appliances including a microwave, dishwasher and two ring hob. Through the arch (which has a sliding door) is the large double bedroom with ensuite shower/wet room with lots of mirrors. There is a very comfortable Kaymed king size bed with lovely white Egyptian cotton bedlinen. We supply plenty of fluffy white towels.
The room rate advertised applies to 2 people sharing the kingsize bed. If required, an additional bed for a charge of £25 per night could be provided in the lounge area. It's a very good double Jay-Be Royal Pocket Comfort Folding Guest Bed. Please email me for more details to see what works best for you.
Generally there is a minimum booking of 5 nights, however, depending on availability, the time of the year and week shorter stays might be considered. Please drop me a message.

WHY ARE THE CHANGES NOT SHOWING
ON HAND TO HELP
I am happy to be available as and when guests would like. Some guests like to be independent but I am happy to share a glass of wine and I am usually on hand to help with anything, from recommending local restaurants to helping plan trips in the city.
OVERVIEW OF THE AREA
The area is a real London neighbourhood. We live on a cute Victorian terrace street. It's a very friendly street, where most people know each other and has an active residents association.
Walk, literally, just round the corner and we're a few minutes away from lots of shops and very convenient bus routes into town, going past many iconic London sights on the way.
There are tennis courts, a recently renovated (£8m) park and a gym nearby plus a vibrant local market, restaurants and many very handy shops just round the corner.
As well as Kennington and Elephant & Castle Underground tube stations, the apartment is very well served for buses to almost anywhere in London. They're a great way to get around and see things on the way, especially the fabulous views over the river.

The basement apartment is separate from the rest of the house and has its own entrance via the black side gate into the back garden.

It would be useful if you could please let us know what time you are likely to arrive and for any details about your flight number in case it is delayed. Many thanks.
My wife and I loved staying in Mike's London flat. The apartment has everything his guests would want , iron, hair dryer, local mobile phone to use, underground passes, maps, and guides .
It was nice to find the fridge stocked with beer, orange juice, milk, butter, jam, croissants and a large bowl overflowing with fresh fruit. Location was great , very close to a 24 hour store, bus routes, and 10 minutes walk to underground . We were able to get to all the London attractions within 15-25 minutes using public transportation. Mike's London flat is very clean, and beautifully decorated. The garden is a great place to rest . Everything is perfect to stay some days in London .Mike is all the time ready to help us .
Mike's apartment was perfect for our stay in London. It's quirky and original space is very inviting and so well equipped. We loved his attention to detail, from the well stocked refrigerator to the luggage scale in the closet.
Mikes apartment was spacious and funky. He was an awesome host providing us with everything we need including- fruits, bread and other breakfast items, mini bar, Oyster cards, mobile, and local tips and guides. The house is well connected by buses which took us everywhere around London. Mike is very helpful and communicative. I would highly recommend mikes place!
Mikes place is very quaint. While not large, it has everything imaginable you could ever need. Loved having the washer/dryer, small boxes of cereal, fruit, milk and water. The location is a little ways away from the London action but the 148 bus you can pick up around the corner takes you to the heart. Make sure you purchase an "Oyster" card for bus service as no cash or credit cards are accepted. Mike was very attentive and responsive to any question or request. Thanks again!

What a joy this week in Mike's apartment! A very original decor, quiet and very clean. Mike greeted us with a smile and kindness. And Jarvis is adorable !!! As a welcome gift: fruit basket, croissants, jam, butter, juices, cereals, wine and beers. Small bonus: the music throughout the apartment and especially in the shower, excellent! Mike was always available and brought us valuable advice on London. The apartment is within 5 minutes walk from several bus stops (we recommend the more pleasant to travel by bus and metro) and 10 minutes walk from the subway. All in a quiet neighborhood. In short, perfect, thank you again Mike!"
Mike greeted us upon arrival, showed us the apartment and how everything worked. It was great that there was wine and other necessities in the fridge. Mike also very helpful with advice on public transport, pubs, shops, etc.
The listing description was accurate. Even though we did not get to meet Mike (he was out of town) he sure made us feel welcome by supplying a fridgeful of goodies for breakfast, snacking and toasting. He thinks of every single detail and anticipates your every need (adapters, maps, a welcome guide to his place, recommendations for local restaurants and more....)
