This house is meant to be filled with many people and good energy. So, come to MKE and enjoy the warmth of this house. I've been hitting yard sales, flea markets & good trash picks since I was 18. My home is a mix of colors, midcentury modern furniture and art. There is one single bedroom (12x10) with a comfy futon which sleeps 2 average people, a love seat and large closet. One 500 sq.ft. refinished 3rd floor loft space with a dry kitchen, living room and queen size bed. You will have access to all rooms on the first floor including living room w/ natural fire place, kitchen & screened in porch with grill and dining room.
Included in your stay are towels and wash cloths, Laundry facility and bikes for touring the city. Your stay also includes secure wifi, one garage space, plus free on-street parking for 3 nights and cable with a small tv in the living room. Feel free to help yourself to morning coffee and whatever goodies you can find in the kitchen to get your day started.
Situated on the east side close to UWM. Walking distance to excellent restaurants, historic Oriental theater and shopping, walking or biking distance to the lake, beaches and bike trails.
This was my first experience with Air bnb and it was way better than any hotel or BnB i have every experienced. Maggie has a beautiful home! I love art and photography and every corner of Maggie's place was like a treasure to me. We had the most magical time. My boyfriend, now fiance proposed to me on stage of the Oriental during his show with the Dead Man's Carnival on New Years Eve! So pretty much everything was perfect the whole weekend. We just adored the upstairs loft space. Though Maggie was not home for the holiday she went out of her way to be available on the phone. And it is obvious she thought of everything to prepare for her guests. We will def be back as Maggie's place is now a place of comfort and will forever be ingrained in the history of our life together! gahh! still on cloud nine after a beautiful visit. Oh and I saw Maggie left her membership for Milwaukee Museum of Art!! You have to check this out! luckily it was a free day when we went on our way out of town. Basically, we love Milwaukee!!
Maggie was a great host, her home was warm and welcoming, clean and in a great location. She was super helpful and friendly. When renting this house, we were looking for a place we could host a family Christmas, we wanted to make sure we would have the place to ourselves. One week before our trip, we were told that there would be a house sitter staying to take care of Maggie's dogs. Which was disappointing because we really hoped to use the house as a family location. The house sitter hired who was not the most responsible and we came home every day to dog business in the house. It was not ideal to say the least. Overall, the experience wasn't for a family, however it would be great if you are looking for a more hostel-like environment.
Although Maggie was out of town when I stayed over, she was very kind to still host for my visit. The room was clean and there were towels ready for use. She also has a beautiful house full of nice art!
This was my first Airbnb experience, and I am so happy that we chose to stay with Maggie! Her house is absolutely beautiful and her 3rd floor very comfortably fit myself and four other friends; we could hardly tell that there were three other people staying in the house with us. Maggie is awesome; very accommodating, easy-going, interesting to talk to, and had great recommendations for us as we explored Milwaukee. My friends and I agree that if we ever return, we would definitely choose to stay here again!
I stayed at Maggie's home in Milwaukee area for just one night when passing through. It is a darling home in an area not too far from the lake or U W Milwaukee. I stayed on the third floor, which was comfortable and large. She was a friendly accommodating hostess. The stairs to third floor can be a little challenging if you are older or have bad knees. All went well and you would be comfortable staying at this airbnb. It is clean and well decorated, and a bathroom is shared on the second floor. It is a vibrant area with access to many activities in Milwaukee.
First time using airbnb. Maggie was extremely welcoming and friendly. The loft room comfortably slept me and my 3 travel buddies. The house is very nice. The area is nice and feels safe. Excellent stay.
Also the girl in our group had to leave on her own a day early and Maggie was kind enough to give her a lift to the Amtrak station.
This was the first time we used AirBnB and if you are so lucky to have a host as Maggie everytime it can't go wrong.
She was friendly, very very helpful and easy to talk to.
It was a nice, clean and modern house, I felt at home immediately.
Great bed and room, that's important. We where there for 5 nights and would love to return again some day!
Great place to stay. Clean. Central location to everywhere we wanted to go. Comfy bed. Maggie is very friendly and welcoming as well as a great communicator.
We enjoyed our stay with Maggie very much. She was an affable and friendly person (and we appreciated all of her suggestions for places to eat and things to do). We also liked Milwaukee quite a bit (and were happy to be in such a bike-friendly area/downtown). Though we stayed only one night at Maggie's house, we would highly recommend the listing (the comfy sheets and fluffy towels were a major bonus; plus, we appreciated the isolation of the third floor room).
Maggie was a great host. Her house was very nice and clean. Her dogs are so quiet and mostly stay in her room. You wouldn't even know they were there. We stayed on the third floor suite. Very private and cozy. Good location for anyone in the area for the University and a bike ride to downtown. We had a great time thanks to Maggie and our friends. We heart Milwaukee!
