The Space

This house is meant to be filled with many people and good energy. So, come to MKE and enjoy the warmth of this house. I rent 3 rooms in my home. Sometimes you will meet new people, but most times you will have the place to yourself. I've been hitting yard sales, flea markets & good trash picks since I was 18. My home is a mix of colors, midcentury modern furniture and art. There is one single bedroom (12x10) with a comfy futon which sleeps 2 average people, a love seat and large closet. One 500 sq.ft. refinished 3rd floor loft space with a dry kitchen, living room and queen size bed. You will have access to all rooms on the first floor including living room w/ natural fire place, kitchen & screened in porch with grill and dining room.

Included in your stay are towels and wash cloths, Laundry facility and bikes for touring the city. Your stay also includes secure wifi, one garage space (if available), plus free on-street parking for 3 nights and cable (email hidden) in the living room. Feel free to help yourself to morning coffee and whatever goodies you can find in the kitchen to get your day started.

Situated on the east side close to UWM. Walking distance to excellent restaurants, historic Oriental theater and shopping, walking or biking distance to the lake, beaches and bike trails.

  • Maggie is such an incredible and thoughtful host! It was my first trip to Milwaukee, and Maggie gave my friend and I some great recommendations for dinner and an awesome brew pub - even let us ride the bikes over! Her house is amazing - the bedroom was super clean and comfy, and she made sure we had everything we needed to feel right at home. Overall, I had such a great time and was pleasantly surprised with my first Airbnb experience. If you go to Milwaukee, stay with Maggie!

  • Our stay with Maggie was excellent. Maggie is a more than gracious host and her home is truly beautiful. Her two permanent "houseguests" are more than happy to mind their own business all day long but are adorable nonetheless. We stayed in the finished attic space and the fit and finish as well as the decor is tasteful and considered, not to mention comfortable. The neighborhood itself is relatively quiet and nicely situated between campus and the downtown/Brady Street area. If we ever find ourselves in Milwaukee again it is a safe bet that we will stay with Maggie again!

  • Maggie was an amazing host and her place was clean and in great condition. She was incredibly thoughtful including such things as the weekly newspaper in our room! Beautifully decorated house! Would highly recommend!

  • Maggie is a great host! If you're staying up on the third floor, keep in mind its quite a bit of stairs, and a little narrow, which I had no problem with. I thought it was a cool space up there! Maggie was very accommodating and I would stay there again~! Recommended

  • My stay with Maggie was delightful! The home is beautiful, and everything was even better than described. The spacious loft had a comfortable bed and everything was very clean. Very impressed! The comfortable atmosphere of Maggie's home created a perfect backdrop to a relaxing vacation. Maggie, herself, is so friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend staying here, and I definitely would like to again.

  • This was my first experience with Air bnb and it was way better than any hotel or BnB i have every experienced. Maggie has a beautiful home! I love art and photography and every corner of Maggie's place was like a treasure to me. We had the most magical time. My boyfriend, now fiance proposed to me on stage of the Oriental during his show with the Dead Man's Carnival on New Years Eve! So pretty much everything was perfect the whole weekend. We just adored the upstairs loft space. Though Maggie was not home for the holiday she went out of her way to be available on the phone. And it is obvious she thought of everything to prepare for her guests. We will def be back as Maggie's place is now a place of comfort and will forever be ingrained in the history of our life together! gahh! still on cloud nine after a beautiful visit. Oh and I saw Maggie left her membership for Milwaukee Museum of Art!! You have to check this out! luckily it was a free day when we went on our way out of town. Basically, we love Milwaukee!!

  • Maggie was a great host, her home was warm and welcoming, clean and in a great location. She was super helpful and friendly. When renting this house, we were looking for a place we could host a family Christmas, we wanted to make sure we would have the place to ourselves. One week before our trip, we were told that there would be a house sitter staying to take care of Maggie's dogs. Which was disappointing because we really hoped to use the house as a family location. The house sitter hired who was not the most responsible and we came home every day to dog business in the house. It was not ideal to say the least. Overall, the experience wasn't for a family, however it would be great if you are looking for a more hostel-like environment.

  • Although Maggie was out of town when I stayed over, she was very kind to still host for my visit. The room was clean and there were towels ready for use. She also has a beautiful house full of nice art!

  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and I am so happy that we chose to stay with Maggie! Her house is absolutely beautiful and her 3rd floor very comfortably fit myself and four other friends; we could hardly tell that there were three other people staying in the house with us. Maggie is awesome; very accommodating, easy-going, interesting to talk to, and had great recommendations for us as we explored Milwaukee. My friends and I agree that if we ever return, we would definitely choose to stay here again!

About
I work as the sr. fashion stylist for Kohl's department stores. Which means I create the fashion look of the photograph. I work on teams with photographers, art directors, assistants, tailors, kid wranglers and hair & makeup professionals. I love it and there is never a dull moment. I'm a pretty chill and relaxed person. I have 2 dogs that love to walk to the lake for a swim. I love to cook and have dinner parties for my friends and family. I enjoy movies, food, photography, museums, biking and yoga.
