About this listing
(I have another listing in this house if you have 3-4 in your party).
THE ROOM and bathroom are the top floor of my home. This makes for a very private stay that will feel like your own space. The bedroom has a very comfortable mattress for the queen size bed.
THE REST OF THE HOUSE is quiet with a living room on the first floor. The kitchen has everything you probably need during your visit, stove, fridge, dishwasher, plenty of glasses and plates, etc.
ME: I love being a host. I love meeting new people which is why I am an activist and have been working for non-profits for over 15 years. Meeting new people from across the world has been wonderful. I adore Philadelphia, and look forward to you enjoying it too.
MY NEIGHBORHOOD has coffee shops, local bars, great food, and mini supermarket for groceries or fresh fruit are all within a few blocks. I am a short walk to Rittenhouse Square which has a large beautiful park. Check my guidebook for more details.
GETTING AROUND is easy. The reliable bus #12 has a stop 2 minutes walking distance from the house and takes you along locust street to Center City, The Convention Center or Old City. There is buses 7, and 17 just four minutes away. A taxi to city hall will be about $9.
PARKING during the day here is easy with FREE street parking usually found on my block. At night I generally need to park within a few blocks, which for Philadelphia is excellent parking.

I am 37 and work hard and laugh harder. For 15 years I have been working/living in Philadelphia and loving it! I grew up in Philly's suburbs and moved here as soon as I could. For the last 10 years I have poured my heart into working for small LGBT non-profit organizations conducting HIV testing. Currently, I work with a group of high school students teaching them Philanthropy which I have been doing for nearly 6 years. These young people spend 5 months learning how to distribute $50,000 which they grant to organizations serving Philadelphia youth. It's amazing and certainly never dull.
I care a lot about people which is why I spent the last 15 years working for non-profits and volunteering a lot! My dad worked 3 jobs to support our family which taught me the value of hard work. In all of my spare time I hang out with my growing circle of friends.
I have been hosting for 4 years now and continue to love hearing guests stories of what brings them to town and look forward to sharing my home and welcoming you to Philadelphia.
