About this listing
Its a small and cosy room to make you feel comfortable after a hectic day. The basic things are all there, a comfortable bed, desk and chair. During hot days you can use the air conditioner, fitted in the room.
Its a single bedroom with a common bathroom, which is not attached to the room, but easily accessible. The bathroom is fully equipped with all modern amenities like geyser (for hot water) and shower and a western toilet. The room is tiny but compact. There is enough storage/cupboard space available. It has an airconditioner. There is wi-fi in the house. Since my house is in the ground floor, I also have a small garden in the front, and a small one at the back, which is a pleasure.
My house is located very close to the outer ring road, so accessibility is easy. In 2 minutes you can access the main road, the closest market and now even a cinema hall. Living in South Delhi is definitely an advantage. The nearest metro station is Nehru Place which is about 15-20 minutes walk from my house or just 5 minutes by an autorickshaw.
I live in Chittaranjan Park, which is surrounded by posh localities like Greater Kailash part 1 and 2 where there are many nice restaurants and Greater Kailash part 1 is a great place for shopping too.
I provide food, mainly breakfast and dinner. But if you want to use the kitchen to cook up something you are welcome. The living room is the common area where we all meet up to eat dinner together. The TV is also there in case you want to watch a special program or just acquaint yourself with Indian channels.
Laundry is also provided for.
I have been hosting international students for a few years now, and have made many friends all over the world.
Interaction with Guests
Depending on the need of the guest I will interact with them.Usually we meet at meal times, breakfast and dinner. If there are any queries or assistance required, I can advise or help in whatever way I can.
Neighbourhood is very quiet, nice and peaceful. Though not very far from the main road (in terms of accessibility), thankfully I am far enough from the traffic noise.
Metro station, the nearest one, Nehru Place, is about 5 minutes away by rickshaw. The other one, Hauz Khas, is on another line, and is about 15 minutes away by rickshaw.
In case you are missing a meal do let me know in advance.
If you are coming in late, I will give you the key to enter the house.
Keep your valuables safe and locked.
No loud music playing please.
Suparna is a nice and accomodating person with charming smile. Though I had booked a smaller room, she offered me the bigger one which was unoccupied at that time. I had a great stay with her. She serves good homely food which is quite nice. Wifi broadband is always available, which is very important for persons like me who rely on connectivity on the go. Zorro, her dog is also a great hang around. All in all its quite decent with good access and neighbourhood and very good value for money.
Suparna was a lovely hostess with a wonderful home, definitely a cozy and convenient place to stay in Delhi. She's a great cook too - would love to stay again!
Staying with Suparna in dehli was an excellent choice, she was very welcoming, helpful, and it was wonderful to be in a quiet place away from the intense activity of the city. the room was confortable, internet was always available. I especially enjoyed having meals with SUparna and other guests, she was always attentive to the guests needs.
Suparna is an amazing host. Her house is very cozy and has different kinds of bedrooms that can attend to every taste. Borrowing a review about the place, just to reinforce it: You feel at home. Is the place that you want to be after spending your day in Delhi.
The neighborhood is amazing. Quiet, elegant and well-located. You may have to take a tuk tuk to the metro station, but that seems small when you compare to what you get.
Super nice environment. Good breakfasts and delicious dinners. Suparna is really helpful.
Suparna was an incredibly warm, welcoming, and gracious host! She provided excellent directions, and welcomed me with breakfast & coffee upon my arrival, making my delirious & jet-lagged transition to Delhi most comfortable.
The room was cozy and comfortable, and the apartment was spacious, clean, and lovely. I loved wandering about the energetic CR Park neighbourhood and having a quiet refuge to come back to.
I especially loved sharing meals with Suparna and her other guests! It was so wonderful to have delicious home-cooked food every evening, and to enjoy the company of Suparna and her international guests (not to mention her awesome dog Zorro!) I certainly benefitted from their wisdom and advice regarding Delhi!
I would recommend Suparna's place to anyone! Her unparalleled generosity & hospitality really made my first trip to India excellent. It was also my first time using AirBnB, and she has set the bar so high! I can't imagine a better homestay experience, and I hope to come back again in the future!
The room and house was comfortable and home-alike. Warm hospitality with home cooked meals, that I don’t have to worry where and what to eat. The location of house is safe and quiet with good neighborhood. The stay was comfortable and felt like home. It was a good choice for my stay in India and I definitely recommend Suparna.

About the Host, Suparna
I am a friendly and easy going person. I love doing yoga, and have been practicing it for many years now. I have been hosting students from all over the world for a few years now. I love meeting people from different cultures and background and exchanging information. I love travelling, and hope to travel all over the world one day. I am interested in cooking, and food. I love to try out different kinds of food, Indian or otherwise. I enjoy reading and also watching movies.
Its me, my teenage son and our dog (a daschund) who live in this house. Zorro always welcomes our guests first (till you enter the house) with a bark and then on wards he is only wagging his tail. He, too, like us loves having people over.
