It was the first time I have used airbnb and it was a great experience! Maxim was very accommodating to our requests. We arrived quite late and he arranged the keys to be left at a nearby restaurant. The place is easy to find and in a good location. There's a direct train to Expo from the nearest metro station. There are also some bars & clubs in the area to get your night going. Apartment itself is cosy as the title suggest. Clean and well-looked after. I would definitely recommend!
Even though we didn't get to meet Maxim, he was an excellent host. He sent his friend Helena to welcome us and she gave us the keys and explained how to work things out in the house: wifi password, which key to use to the gate.. we had a problem with the train and arrived later than we informed and yet Helena was there, patiently waiting fo us. The apartment is exactly it is shown in the photos and the neighborhood is very friendly with supermarkets, restaurants, drugstore... It's easy to get around town from there because there a lot of means of transportation, but we basically used the subway. We would definetly stay there again and we really recommend the place.
Maxim's apartment was very good. We had a bit of trouble finding it from the train station but that was our GPS and Google maps taking us the long way. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk from the train station directly. There is a metro stop less than 100 metres but we walked to the Piazza Duomo in about 20 minutes. There are restaurants and supermarket within 20 metres and high end fashion stores at the end of the street. The apartment is very clean and tidy. We were very happy with the apartment. Only problem we had was that Maxim arranged for someone else to meet us at the apartment but didn't tell us how to get into the main door of the apartment block so had to wait 30 minutes for the person meeting us to come outside. Small mistake but it could have gone very wrong as we thought the person had forgotten to come to meet us. This apartment is in a good location and is very clean and comfortable size for 2 people. I would recommend it to other travellers.
Good stay, maxim's apartment was actually very spacious for our needs and very clean. Lots of really nice restaurants around. Check in and out were smooth! Thanks!
Maxim's apartment provided a great stay in Milan. It was larger than I expected, but that's coming from someone who lives in a studio in Manhattan. It has a great location, just a block from the red subway line, which goes directly to the Duomo, the Expo, and many other sights. It was in a very clean condition when we arrived. Maxim wasn't in Milan at the time, but he arranged for us to pick up the keys from a nearby business, which was very convenient.
It was very easy to communicate with Maxim before and during our stay, except for a small period when he was overseas. He didn't have his cell phone, so didn't respond to some messages, but then we connected on whatsapp through his international phone. At that point, everything was good again.
Someone mentioned the towels. It's true that they're a little rough, but that's not the end of the world. The shower takes some time to get hot, but once it does there is lots of hot water available for multiple showers.
