Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Welcome to our cozy riverside cottage along the Ottauquechee River. Note: we're on Rt. 4 which is great for access but there is some road noise. Block that out as you sit by the river & watch the ducks go by, or cozied up on the couch next to the woodstove

A perfect spot for your Vermont adventures! You'll be 5 miles away from Killington's Skyeship, 10 Miles away from Woodstock, & nearby to many local attractions & restaurants

Enjoy the game room & extra space in the converted garage!

The space
MAIN COTTAGE (little red house)
- primary bedroom with queen bed, sliding glass door, and steps out to the backyard. This bedroom looks out onto the river and backyard firepit

- second bedroom with queen bed, looks out onto route 4 (light sleepers be mindful)

- full bathroom with window in the shower looking out into the river and firepit area (equipped with privacy shade!)

- entryway with spots to hang up your coats and gear

- eat in kitchen with a convection stove, fridge, toaster, drip coffee, small dining table, and all the kitchen basics

- laundry closet with stacked washer/dryer

DETATCHED CONVERTED GARAGE - THE GAME ROOM AND LOOKOUT
We converted the garage to a game room and updated the former studio apartment to a lookout with a 3/4 bath.

THE LOOKOUT
- third bedroom AKA "the lookout" (bonus room) has a queen sized bed, a "nap nook", and (2) rocking chairs

- 3/4 bath with a point of use hot water heater (good for one shower, ready for another hot shower in about 30 minutes)

THE GAMEROOM
- Game room with billiards, foosball, arcade machine with over 15,000 games, and other board games

THE "BARN"
- owner's space - attached to the garage along the side of the driveway, our spot to store items and complete projects

OTHER OUTBUILDINGS
- a couple of sheds we use for storage including the woodshed which is behind the barn

Guest access
You'll have access to the whole property however some areas (owner's storage in the barn) will be locked.

There is a river behind the cottage and guests should access this at their own risk.

Other things to note
We're on a main road so road noise is a reality. We provide white noise machines and ear plugs for light sleepers.

There is a river behind the cottage and guests should access this at their own risk.

Neighborhood highlights

We're on the main road - US Rt. 4 - great for easy access (especially in winter) but not as great for the road noise. We're along the Ottauquechee river and don't have any direct neighbors but there are some houses down the road and up the hill across the street.

Super close to Skyeship Lodge, Longtrail Brewery, and many area attractions.

Where I went to school: Northeastern University
My work: Harvard University
I'm an avid bicycle commuter, hiker, and DIY-er, I'm always moving and keeping busy. My husband Chris and I met in Architecture school, studied abroad in Rome where we started dating, got married in 2010 (10/10/10 in New Hampshire, in fact), and now both work in planning and project management for construction. We're 30-somethings who have the best of both worlds, a small condo in the city where we're a hop, skip, and a jump to about a dozen restaurants, bakeries, and shops and we have our chalet way up in the North Country of NH that we love sharing with folks. It's our bucolic escape and ultimate retirement goal. Things are a little further out than our close by city square, but the change of pace is welcomed, and we've still managed to find a favorite bakery and brewery up in NH :) While in NH we always make time to hike, we've started bagging some of the 4,000 footers of the White Mountain National Forest, in between some smaller hikes. We love opening our home to family and friends and are happiest when we are being good hosts. We welcome you to enjoy the chalet and hope you love it as much as we do!
