Fitzroy is a great location - it's friendly, vibrant and easy to get around. My interests include cinema, sailing, travel and people. I'm sociable and value the space I've created where you'll be made to feel very welcome.

Guest Access

Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, loungeroom and outside spaces - ultimately, your privacy is always respected.

Interaction with Guests

I always aim to meet guests on arrival and at a time that suits their timetable. Generally, I tend to be around but there will be times guests will have the house to themselves.

The Neighborhood

Wide streets, local gardens and access to cafes and shops make Fitzroy one of the best locations in Melbourne. Walking is the way to best explore the neighbourhood.

Getting around

Public transport is 50 metres from the property. A parking permit is available if you have a car.

Option 1: From the Southern Cross station catch tram no.112 from Collins St. and alight at Hanover Street stop on Brunswick St. Walk for 30 metres then turn left into King William Street. No 68 is on your left.

Option 2: Take tram no.96 from Bourke Street (slightly closer to Southern Cross Station) and alight at Melbourne Museum on Nicholson Street. Walk across the road to King William Street which is about 25 metres north of the tram stop. Stay on the right side, walk for 100 metres and you're at no 68 KW.

  • I spent a week at Frances beautiful home. She was an attentive and excellent host throughout, and the location is superb. <15 minutes from CBD, but plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby too. Highly recommended.

  • What an incredibly beautiful terrace house in Firzroy, I spent the 3 nights here coveting this house! Frances was a lovely host, even taking me out for coffee one day! I will definately be staying here whenever I am in Melbourne. The house is in a perfect location to everything you need in funky Fitzroy. I had a wonderful stay :)

  • Frances was very friendly and hospitable. Her house and garden are lovely and the location is fabulous. Walk to the city, to all the great local shops and cafés and the wonderful Readings bookshop on Lygon St. Comfortable bed and the whole house is scrupulously clean. Parks nearby. What more could one ask?

  • An exceptional first airbnb experience! Frances provides a beautiful room in a stunning house that is a little oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Fitzroy.. The photos do not do this beautiful home justice!
Frances was welcoming and helpful and ensured I felt at home straight away. The massive bathroom is fabulous, the kitchen lovely to cook in and the garden serene and perfect for reading a book/ chilling out in.
I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

  • Frances was an absolute gem! Her place was very spacious, clean and in access to everything one could possibly need. She gave tips on our next destination as well as helped carried luggage :)

  • Frances is such a cool cat and her place is amazing! This was my first airbnb experience and Frances made it great. She is really relaxed and made me feel right at home, but was available to provide tips on Melbourne when needed. She even shared some of her music and movies with me, but allowed me plenty of privacy, too. And her dog Nelson is an absolute delight. Thank you, Frances for a fabulous stay!

  • Perfect in every respect: Frances is the ideal host, a really cool person and her beautiful home is in the best possible location to enjoy the CBD and inner north. We didn't have to hop on a tram to get anywhere as it's all within a short stroll, great coffee, bars and shops. And Nelson is a lovely dog!

  • My parents stayed with Frances for 2 weeks whilst in Melbourne visiting me. They loved the house, it is in the heart of Fitzroy and within a few minutes of 2 tram routes to the city and beach. The house is lovely and spacious with a gorgeous garden. Frances went out of her way to make my parents feel welcome, she even invited us all over for a bbq. And she helped them out with planning trips around Victoria. I will be recommending Frances' place to any other visitors I have. Annie

  • Frances is the best hostess ever! She was flexible with our check-in since we took the red-eye flight from Kuala Lumpur and arrived in Melbourne early in the morning. She has been a Melbournian for many years so could give us a lot of advice on what to see, where to eat, and what to do! Her house is amazing and comfortable and the room is cozy and quiet. The location couldn't be better as Fitzroy is an amazing neighborhood with great coffee, dining, shopping, art, and nightlife just a few steps from her doorstep! We felt like Frances made a concerted effort to make sure we were comfortable in her home and that we enjoyed our visit to Melbourne. Our trip to Melbourne was absolutely wonderful and we already miss it... we can't wait to go back!
