Fitzroy is a great location - it's friendly, vibrant and easy to get around. My interests include cinema, sailing, travel and people. I'm sociable and value the space I've created where you'll be made to feel very welcome. Nelson my old jack Russell comes with the territory.
Guests welcome to use the kitchen (before 9PM), loungeroom and outside spaces - ultimately, your privacy is always respected.
Interaction with guests
I always aim to meet guests on arrival and at a time that suits them. Generally, I tend to be at work Mon-Fri. There will be times guests will have the entire house to themselves.
Wide streets, local gardens and access to cafes and shops make Fitzroy one of the best locations in Melbourne. Walking is the way to best explore the neighbourhood.
Public transport is 50 metres from the property. A parking permit is available if you have a car.
Option 1: From the Southern Cross station catch tram no.11 from Collins St. and alight at Hanover Street stop on Brunswick St. Walk for 30 metres then turn left into King William Street. No 68 is on your left.
Option 2: Take tram no.96 from Bourke Street (slightly closer to Southern Cross Station) and alight at Melbourne Museum on Nicholson Street. Walk across the road to King William Street which is about 25 metres north of the tram stop. Stay on the right side, walk for 100 metres and you're at no 68 King William Street.
Other things to note
I no longer have a dog on the premises.
Your own set of keys will be provided for the duration of your stay. Check-in is after 4.00 pm and Check-out is 11.00am but times are flexible. A strict no-candle rule applies. Smoking permitted outside only. No additional guests without prior negotiation.
Fitzroy is a great inner-city locale: diverse, friendly, vibrant and so close to the CBD. Your room comes with its own private bathroom. You can mostly walk everywhere given the location of the house. I'm a Media professional and have lived in Melbourne for over 20 years. My hosting style is welcoming and fun but you'll have as much privacy as you need. I like cinema, sailing, travel and art.
