Fitzroy is a great location - it's friendly, vibrant and easy to get around. My interests include cinema, sailing, travel and people. I'm sociable and value the space I've created where you'll be made to feel very welcome.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, loungeroom and outside spaces - ultimately, your privacy is always respected.
I always aim to meet guests on arrival and at a time that suits their timetable. Generally, I tend to be around but there will be times guests will have the house to themselves.
Wide streets, local gardens and access to cafes and shops make Fitzroy one of the most interesting locations in Melbourne. Walking is the way to best explore the neighbourhood.
Public transport is 50 metres from the property. A parking permit is available if you have a car.
Option 1: From the Southern Cross station catch tram no.112 from Collins St. and alight at Hanover Street stop on Brunswick St. Walk for 30 metres then turn left into King William Street. No 68 is on your left.
Option 2: Take tram no.96 from Bourke Street (slightly closer to Southern Cross Station) and alight at Melbourne Museum on Nicholson Street. Walk across the road to King William Street which is about 25 metres north of the tram stop. Stay on the right side, walk for 100 metres and you're at no 68 KW.

An exceptional first airbnb experience! Frances provides a beautiful room in a stunning house that is a little oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Fitzroy.. The photos do not do this beautiful home justice!
Frances was welcoming and helpful and ensured I felt at home straight away. The massive bathroom is fabulous, the kitchen lovely to cook in and the garden serene and perfect for reading a book/ chilling out in.
I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Frances was an absolute gem! Her place was very spacious, clean and in access to everything one could possibly need. She gave tips on our next destination as well as helped carried luggage :)
Frances is a very welcoming host, she was able to accommodate us at last minute and even trusted leaving us on our own in her lovely house. The house is fantastic nice bedroom, big kitchen if you intend to cook and nice garden to relax. Frances house is very close to the city with trams a 2 minute walk away. There are lots of places to eat around the area. I would recommend staying at Frances house on your trip to Melbourne :)
Frances is a great and welcoming host. We got everything we needed and we are very happy we could stay at Frances' place which is in the great place surounded by shops and cafes.
The house is perfect, it has a nice backyard and an amazing bathroom, spacious rooms and the bed was very comfortable! :)
I would definitely go there again!
Thank you very much Frances
Frances is such a cool cat and her place is amazing! This was my first airbnb experience and Frances made it great. She is really relaxed and made me feel right at home, but was available to provide tips on Melbourne when needed. She even shared some of her music and movies with me, but allowed me plenty of privacy, too. And her dog Nelson is an absolute delight. Thank you, Frances for a fabulous stay!

Perfect in every respect: Frances is the ideal host, a really cool person and her beautiful home is in the best possible location to enjoy the CBD and inner north. We didn't have to hop on a tram to get anywhere as it's all within a short stroll, great coffee, bars and shops. And Nelson is a lovely dog!
Frances was a very welcoming host, who made me feel comfortable in her home and in Melbourne. She made sure I was settled and had everything I need. There was a lovely touch of leaving some toiletries and useful maps in the room. She lives in a Victorian villa just off Brunswick, close to the heart of hipster Fitzoy. It's a great area to explore and the street is surprisingly quiet, which was great for me.
The house is large with a great bathroom; including a shower and bath and I stayed in the double room upstairs at the back of the house. The house is clean and comfortable, decorated with beautiful things and I felt very at home here. It's close to two tram lines so very easy to explore the central city from. Also, there is a medium sized supermarket a 100 metres or so away, which is very handy if you are using the kitchen facilities.
A great first time Airbnb experience, thank you Frances!
