Come take a break from your day-to-day life and stay as a guest at Isle Haven, our Bainbridge Island home-base and residential retreat space, a country farmhouse in Eagledale, just a ten-minute drive or taxi from the ferry, and within walking distance to Eagle Harbor, Pritchard Park, and Eagledale Park.
Stroll in the garden, commune with the songbirds, hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies, curl up with a good book on the wrap-around covered porch, catch a glimpse of eagles, herons, and osprey, walk the BI trails and beaches, or wander downtown to the local farmer’s market, boutiques, thrift stores, and cafes. Soak in your private claw-foot tub, stargaze, write, dream…
For dining, the Island offers a variety of restaurants, pubs, and cafes that I can recommend. The Town & Country Market, conveniently located in downtown Winslow on the way from the ferry, has a great selection of ready-made meals and sundries.
Simple, elegant guests rooms feature hardwood floors, big windows, high ceilings, and peek-a-boo views of Eagle Harbor.
A private full bath with marble floors, pedestal sink and claw-foot tub/shower
Access to dining, and sitting rooms, wrap-around porch, and lush garden
In-drive and/or on-street parking
Karen's place is amazing. It is situated on Eagle Harbor, and affords an amazing view. There are many nice restaurants within a short drive. The ferry to Seattle is only a 35 minute trip. If you want a quiet place to stay, which isn't the usual over-priced hotel in the city, consider this place.
Karen was a thoughtful, relaxed host who made us feel comfortable and able to pursue the kind of vacation we were hoping for. The farmhouse is beautiful, very well-maintained, and full of fun little touches to explore - mini shampoo and conditioners in the bathroom, games in the sitting room, a drawer of delicious teas, and more!
I booked a room at Isle Haven Country Farmhouse for 3 nights for my son who was visiting from California. The house was lovely, quiet, and the hosts were very welcoming. He found his stay enjoyable and will book there again if he returns next summer.
What a great little getaway! Karen was a lovely host. I highly recommend staying here if you are on Bainbridge for the day or a weekend!
