I had a quick two day trip to Hatteras and the kite club provided just what I needed with a welcoming environment, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. Many kiteboarding students taking advantage of the location and available instruction. Only thing that would make it better would be if it allowed kite in/out without the need of watercraft . Thanks for hosting me.
Hey Drew the watercrafts are for newbies, the experienced go on the waves in the ocean :) Besides that though the riding spots depend on the wind direction, but that is why the island has so much to offer because in 15min apart you can find spots to ride from NE so SE wind!!
I only had one night to stay but the room was very nice, and often times its difficult to find places that allow short stays. The room was clean and comfortable and had a view of the canals. Checking in was easy and Christo had emailed me very clear directions on how to get there. Will definitely use again.
We had a fantastic but short time at the Kite Club. Had the privilege of meeting some amazing people who immediately made us feel welcome even though it was 8:30pm. We greatly enjoyed our stay and many fun conversations. We are very excited at the possibility returning next year to try out kiteboarding.
My husband & I found the Kite Club on AirB&B and had only 1 night to stay and elevate all they have to offer. It's right on the inlet and the house clean, well laid out and nicely decorated. Graham was a great host and very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed the conversations with him and the other quest around the kitchen island.
We were able to use our boat, since the boat ramp was right on the property. We motored over to the bar/grill for a VERY nice dinner for our anniversary. Thanks Kite Club & Christo
Christo was the perfect host. He gave me detailed descriptions to find my way to his house. The house is spacious and neat. It has a balcony with a great view. The house is located in a nice neighborhood very close to the beach. I shared the apartment with to other very nice people. There were enough space to have a lot of private room and a large kitchen and living room to share. I thought it can't get any better, but then Christo came over and invited us for dinner in his house. He is a very entertaining and caretaking person. I had a great time.
Friendly and social environment with a great deck on canal! Kristo was wonderfully patient as a kite instructor

About the Host, Christo
Christo has been kiteboarding for over nine years. He has ridden and taught in the US (North Carolina and California) – as well as in some great spots around the world, including Bulgaria, Spain, Dominican Republic, Panama, Mexico and Peru – but he will be the first to reassure you that the best wind for kiteboarding is at Cape Hatteras. This is why he started thinking about opening a kiteboarding school on the island as far back as 2008, and has now set up Kite Club Hatteras as an official school in Cape Hatteras. Christo has a proven record of taking students to the best and safest spots on the island and providing them with a complete kiteboarding learning experience, taking beginners from the basics to becoming independent riders. Christo was a self-taught rider and uses his personal learning experience alongside his professional training to decrease your learning curve and increase your fun.
