Fantastic, top-floor, two-bedroom apartment in a beautiful, old building in the very, very heart of Dublin City. You won't find better!
This is a top-floor, TWO-BEDROOM apartment in an Edwardian building in the very, very centre of the Dublin city's old historic centre.
It has truly stunning views across to Dublin Castle and City Hall. The building itself is on Dame Street in Dublin 2, and is just a couple of minutes (or less) walk from most of Dublin's main historic, cultural, social and tourist attractions.
The apartment is full of history and character. It occupies the top floor of an old Edwardian building, located midway along Dame Street, which links Trinity College to Christ Church Cathedral.
It has absolutely spectacular views over Dublin Castle and Dublin City Hall both from the living room and one bedroom, while the other bedroom looks west towards Christ Church Cathedral.
Although the apartment has been completely renovated in recent years (so has all the modern conveniences you could want, including fast WiFi internet connection, central heating, an electric shower and a fully-fitted kitchen), its original period features have been preserved (including solid oak wood flooring in the living room and bedrooms, granite stone flooring and a wonderful Belfast sink in the kitchen, and large sash windows in every room).
It has two bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds, which can be combined if required), a decent-sized living room with a kitchen off and a bathroom.
Every room has large sash windows characteristic of the Edwardian era (early 1900s), so the apartment is full of natural light (if you're lucky, sunshine too!) from early in the morning until late in the evening.
Everything you might need (bed linen, towels and kitchen items) is provided, as well as a small library of books on Dublin. Free 30Mb Wifi.
THE IMMEDIATE AREA:
Have a glance at a map of Dublin and you'll see that Dame Street is right in the centre of everything that Dublin has to offer. Trinity College is at one end of Dame Street (3 minute walk from the apartment) and Christ Church Cathedral is at the other (2 minute walk in the other direction). On one side is Dublin Castle and City Hall, and on the other is Temple Bar.
All other notable parts of the city – such as Grafton Street area, St Stephens Green, Merrion Square, O'Connell Street – are within a 10-15 minute walk.
I'd be delighted to welcome you to Dublin, and would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have - just ask!
Ordinarily, the minimum booking is two nights for midweek bookings and three nights for weekend bookings (i.e. if the booking includes a Friday or Saturday night). However, I'll always try to facilitate one-night bookings whenever possible. Again, just ask!

Great apt, hosts were incredibly friendly, and the location was perfect.
Would highly recommend.
This was my first airbnb booking and stay. I couldn't have chosen a better location. Everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance. The apartment was clean, bright and had a wonderful view of Dublin Castle and City Hall. All the amenities we needed were there. Garrett was a wonderful host. He answered all my questions and went the extra mile to share information on where to eat and places to see. All in all a wonderful experience.
Garrett thank you for their hospitality. His apartment, very well located in the center of Dublin, helped our tour of the city and its beautiful monuments. We had a very pleasant stay with family!
A next time!
The apartment is perfectly located, very close to the city center and temple bar and next to the bus stop of Airlink 747, arriving from and departing to the Airport.
The lovely apartment has two double bedrooms, a bath room with electric shower, a small living room and a kitchen equipped with coffee machine, water heater, cooking stove and washing machine - suits perfectly for four people.
Garrett and his brother are very friendly, always willing to help and easy going. It was a real pleasure to stay here!
We LOVED our stay in Dublin at Garrett and Ronan's apartment. We stayed 2 nights over a weekend in January for a get together of old school friends - we now live in Birmingham, London and Edinburgh and so Dublin seemed a fun place for us all to go, as we were going to have to travel wherever we met... And we LOVED Dublin!
Garrett was very approachable and responsive during the booking process and in the lead up to arrival. He sent some excellent PDFs with all the info you could possibly require on arrival instructions and recommendations for eating and drinking. We really appreciated them!
The apartment itself is wonderful. Very tastefully decorated, it has modern fittings and appliances whilst still retaining its traditional character. We particularly liked the open plan kitchen / dining / living area which makes for a very sociable room. From this room you have fantastic views across the road and through to the castle and city hall. Stunning! The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. WIFI was fast, the shower was powerful and hot and our favourite feature was the De'Longhi coffee machine!
Our only minor panic was that there was no corkscrew - a small problem on a girls' weekend - only when we looked a bit closer, we found two! Very well equipped kitchen.
The area is wonderful... Close to Temple Bar but also to other quieter places. We enjoyed pizza and meatballs at Skinflint which is a funky place just literally 3 mins walk. We also headed to Pitt Bros BBQ for some quick pulled pork. There are so many bars and restaurants that you could stay a long time and your tastebuds would never be bored! Recommend using groupon or another deals / voucher website as we were lucky to find really cheap deal for a city bus tour!
Definitely plan to return to this wonderful apartment and recommend it to others - clean, characterful, with charismatic host! Thank you
One couldn't ask for a better location than this spot, located on Temple Bar, steps from Dublin Castle (seriously, about 40 steps) and just down the street from Trinity College. Garrett is a fantastic host and a super valuable resource for anyone visiting Dublin, and our entire stay was delightful.
Garret and Ronan were the perfect hosts - we've never done this before (normally stay at Hotels) and were pleasantly surprised by how helpful the boys were - they laid out tips for where to eat, shop and of course the best places to go for entertainment/night-life. They were available at any time and made us feel very welcome. I'd have no hesitations in staying there again - being so close to the action in Temple Bar meant that we were able to experience the very best of Dublin and Irish culture/music - we'll be staying there next time we visit Dublin without a doubt - Cheers Tony, Lyndal and Georgia.
The reservation was canceled 6 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I stayed here with my partner and my parents over the new year period and found it perfect for all of our needs! Garrett and his brother Ronan provided fantastic local restaurant and pub recommendations which were close to some of the best dining experiences I've had (The winding stair). The apartment was very clean and presentable; it had everything we needed to cook, wash and relax. It is located on a busier street so there is a little traffic noise however if you live in a city you will find it no problem! Definitely is worth that little bit of noise for such a fantastic location!! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!!
I've visited many places in the world, and I must say Dublin now ranks towards the top of the list. Most of that goes to Ronan & Garrett for their amazing apartment that my friends and I stayed it.
It was centrally located in the heart of Dublin which was amazing. Everywhere we went, from clubs to restaurants to sightseeing, we were able to walk there. That truly helped us get an authentic experience of the city.
Ronan & Garrett themselves were extemely helpful and were probably that best people I've ever rented from through airbnb. When I do go back to Dublin I'll for sure try and use them again!
