Cosy apartment located in a buzzling area with some of the best restaurants, cafés, venues and trendy shopping streets, close to cocktail bars, arts and the meatpacking district. Here you will find the real, Danish 'hygge' - Copenhagen city style.
Charming apartment from around 1870, close to Vesterbro Torv.
The apartment is located at the museum street of Copenhagen - a street restored as 'the old Copenhagen'.
The apartment is bright and cosy. The bedroom is towards the yard and there's no noise from the streets.
The interior is classic, Danish design, and besides the bedroom and living rooms it contains a kitchen with a dishwasher, a washing machine and all kitchen tools you need for cooking and serving. The bathroom has a shower.
Free wifi. Extra bedding is possible.
Vesterbro is known for it's great restaurants, cocktail/wine/beer bars, green areas and relaxed vibe - it is definitely the place to be when visiting Copenhagen.
The en suite living rooms has a view to the museum street and Vesterbrogade, which leads you directly to the main station, Tivoli and the city center. Walking distance is 10 minutes, but you can also get on the bus; the bus stop is just outside the door. In high season the tourist 'hop on hop off' bus stop just outside the door as well.
Other Things to Note
It's possible to stay 4 people in the apartment, however note, that there's only one bed, a sofa (which is quite good to sleep on ...!) and a big matress.
I love my apartment and I'm very happy to share it with others. However, I expect you to treat it well, while I'm away. You will have free access to use whatever you want in the apartment. I have included a small cleaning fee for washing bed sheets, vacuum cleaning and so on, but please wipe if you drop something and just leave the apartment as you got it. Please don't smoke inside the apartment - there's a yard where it's possible. The house rules is no loud noise after midnight - please respect that.
Ditte's apartment is beautifully laid out and furnished. It even has a good library (in Danish and English) and a good CD collection. The kitchen is well equipped, which is important because eating out in Copenhagen can get a bit pricey if you do it all the time. The apartment is very conveniently located. You can walk to most of the places of interest in the city and, if not, it is 5 minutes to the central station. I miss my coffee shop on Istedgade.
We had an over all great experience staying at Ditte's place.
Ditte herself was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. She'd left clear instructions for the use of the apartment and a guide to restaurants and shops in the neighborhood.
The apartment filled all our needs and was clean, bright and a good size. While we didn't get around to cooking, the kitchen seemed fully equipped and ready for use.
The location is perfect. It's just around the corner from Vesterbrogade and only a couple of blocks from Istedgade with all its shops, cafés and restaurants. Also a close walk to Koedbyen (The Meat Packing District) and the City Center.
Arrival and Departure and the logistics around that was also very smooth.
