The Space

Lovely little house with private garden

This charming house is located quite perfect - in a quiet residential neighborhood, where you can reach the center of Copenhagen, with all its life, art, music, cinemas, restaurants and shopping in half an hour by bus or metro. Are you more interested in nature and the sea you can walk to Amager Beach at approx. fifteen minutes.

If you come by car you can park in front of the house for free. The nearest supermarket is within walking distance (2 minutes) and the bus to the city center and the Central Station is only 5 minutes away.

I’m sure you will find the house very nice and cozy. On the ground floor you will find a room with one single bed and a guest bed, asmall bathroom with shower, two living rooms and a nice kitchen with garden view. On the first floor you will find another room and the bedroom (double bed).

If neede I have a baby bed you can rent for a small amount (please write me an email)

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need such as dishwasher, stove, microwave, juicer and blender. Do you need to wash clothes there is a washing machine in the utility room placed next to the kitchen.

The garden is very undisturbed and perfect for play, relaxation and barbecues

I’m sure you will find the house perfect both if you are a family and travel with your kids and also if you just want a good, quite and cozy base while you explore Copenhagen.

Please be aware that my very friendly cat also lives in the house (he is most of time out in the garden)

I look forward to meeting you! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

  • I spent a wonderful week at Helle cosy cottage. It is conviently located close to several bus lines with direct access into the city center. The 5A bus, which stops about a block away, also runs to the airport making connections quick and easy. The house was quiet and comfortable making it a joy to come back to after a long day of touring. Malley the cat is no trouble and only appears for meals. If visiting in the summer bring an eye mask for sleeping since it is only dark a few hours a day. Overall a wonderful place to stay!

  • Helle was a fantastic host, everything we needed and beyond was provided for. The house is just like the photos, its cosy and contains all the things needed for normal life. We never wanted to leave. It was clean and tidy, the location very good.

I would stay again and again!

  • We loved our stay at this house! It was a very cold January when we spent 12 nights there, but we were snug and cozy inside Helle's house. We had everything we needed - a well equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bed, and a real shower with plenty of hot water. Also excellent wifi.
Helle is a wonderful and welcoming host and we enjoyed the cat, who was pleasant company and no trouble at all.
It's a great location for getting anywhere by public transportation. We took the 5A bus, which stops a block and a half away right in front of our favorite grocery store, Irma. A bit further up the same street there is an excellent bakery and a yummy Smørbrod store.
We would definitely recommend this home!

  • Helle's house is pretty, cosy and comfortable. Everything is there for cooking (we ate in every night), washing and all everyday activities - it all works well and Helle has many lovely household items that are a pleasure to use. The beds are comfortable and the house is quiet so it is easy to get a good night's sleep. It is also spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 tall, space-taking-up adolescent boys! The garden is delightful, such a treat to sit outside and eat/drink tea. Malley the cat is lovely but a bit shy - I found he preferred to eat outside; he just sat by the door when he wanted food. The position of the house is excellent - a 20 minute walk to a fantastic beach area, Amager, which has cafes, a long paved promenade for walking, cycling, roller skating etc and a wonderful diving area at the end of a pier. The water is extremely clear and clean and it is warmer to swim in that the UK. There are lots of supermarkets in the area - we used Netto 1000, only 2 mins away, which had excellent produce, a lot of it organic. I highly recommend choosing local Danish vegetables, fruit and cheese, jam and honey and the rye bread was amazing.
We caught the bus into the city every day - it's an easy 5 mins walk and it takes about 15 mins to get into the centre. With the same ticket you can get off at the city centre bridge and take the harbour ferry buses to the mermaid - highly recommended trip! I would also recommend going to Sweden for the day, taking the 999 bus from the airport - it's half the price of the train. Near the bus stop into town (across the road, to the right) is a very good bakery - we only discovered it on the last day, don't make the same mistake!
Helle herself is a friendly and welcoming host - she was very helpful with all my enquiries before we booked and came, and she was there to meet us when we arrived. Not only did she take us round the house explaining how everything worked, she also had several sheets of information typed out. In addition, Helle quickly replied to queries when we were staying there. I was only sorry not to know her better.
There is so much to see and do in Copenhagen you won't be bored, but it's such a relaxed city and what a delight to see more bicycles than cars. Helle's lovely house makes a fantastic base - close to city and seaside while providing a peaceful and comfortable retreat. We couldn't recommend it more highly.

  • The house is very charming (as on the photos), with a very nice (website hidden) is ideally located in a very quiet area, 5 minutes drive to the beach and within 3 minutes drive to the metro station which leads to less than 15mn to Copenhagen city center. Helle is very friendly and was able to give us all the information necessary for a very pleasant stay. We definitely recommend this address !

  • Our family really enjoyed our stay in Helle's house. It is in a very peaceful and easily accessible area, within easy reach of both the city centre, the airport and Amager beach and promenade. The house was really comfortable and the garden was lovely. Safe car parking too. Helle was most helpful and we were able to be fully independent during our stay. Many thanks!

  • We were warmly greeted by Helle on our arrival and shown around the place and then she stayed to explain how everything worked and where in the local area the stores, buses, and trains can be found plus the locations to walk to of interest near the house. The house is small but great for my family of 4. The street is very quiet and the beds are very comfortable plus the wifi is good to. It was really nice to have a dishwasher and laundry machine also since it meant we could travel with less clothing.
If you have any doubts and are hesitant, don't be. It's a beautiful quiet little house to rest in and catch your breath.
