My apartment was built in the 1930s and has all the charm of an older building such as original hardwood flooring, arch way, 10ft. ceilings, claw foot tub, etc. Yet it is centrally located. You can walk or ride a bike to anything cool to do in the city. Tons of restaurants, bars, clubs, museums, shopping, parks, Med Center, Universities, etc. right around the corner...check out some suggestions on my guidebook.
Your private room is located on the opposite side of the apartment so you have total privacy. I will leave fruit, bread and eggs in the kitchen/refrigerator for breakfast if you wish. You may help yourself to any of the coffee and tea I have. You also have a desk and surge protector in the room along with Wifi if you want to use your computer. If you don't have a computer I have one that, if I am here, you are free to use for the internet.
You will have a private bedroom. I have one bathroom that is shared by all guests...in which you will have access to a hairdryer, straightener, shampoo, soap and such if you have the need for them. I also will have towels and bedding for your use. My house will be your home for the time you are here so make yourself comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, besides a dishwasher, and open for use with plenty of grocery stores around the area if you would like to cook. You will also have a parking spot if you have a car.
The Greyhound Bus and Megabus stations are around 2 miles away if needed. There is also a special where you don't get charged over $6 to get anywhere in downtown by taxi (ask the taxi driver about it before you ride). If you are coming from the airport there is a bus that takes you nonstop to close to my apartment.
I am a flight attendant so there is a chance you may be here by yourself or with another guest. If that is the case I have a keypad lock on my door and will give you the new combination so you can check yourself in and have freedom to come and go as you please while you are here.
My place is so unique because it is peaceful yet in the middle of all that is happening in the city. I hope you decide to come enjoy this beautiful city and all of it's charms in my wonderful apartment. I love it and I know you will too.
Cute place in the heart of 'Vintage Montrose', highly recommended!
Stephanie was very sweet and easy to work with. Her place is quite charming and the location is unbeatable. Everything was perfect!
Loved being in this part of Houston. Is a nice, quirky little place.
Stephanie's apartment is in a wonderful area, close to nice cafés and the museums district. We didn't meet Stephanie in person but she made sure we're comfortable and helped us out with information. Her instructions to enter the apartment were easy to follow. The apartment is really beautiful and we had a wonderful time at her place and in Houston!
Stephanie's apartment was lovely, and she was very responsive and made sure I had all the relevant info I needed! It's an excellent place to stay in Houston--it's a great neighborhood and a really cozy & cool apartment.
We arrived at Stephanie's place as guests and left as friends. We were only in Houston for a very short time but with Stephanie's help we were able to truly make the best of it. The apartment is great and as the room is at the opposite end of the house there you have total privacy. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything!
My friend and I stayed with Stephanie this past weekend and were so happy with what we found---
Just as beautiful as the pictures!
Super comfy bed
All the needed amenities
Perfect proximity to all
Probably spoiled as we feel in love with Houston--terrific neighborhood
Can't find all the words---welcoming, helpful, great with advise on "what to do" and directions of how to get there
Felt really at home
May even go back to Houston just to stay with Stephanie again!
Thank you so much!!!

Stephanie is friendly and kind,
The place was super clean , quite and has restaurants near by.
She got Orange, banana , bread & eggs for us- helpful for early breakfast and evening refreshment. We had a minor difficulty opening the door and she responded quickly. I believe, this place may be very valuable/cost-effective for those who have a strong reason to be with in the city.
Overall we enjoyed the stay
We liked the food at Subway and Theo's , both on Westheimer Rd , just a few blocks away.
Overall we enjoyed the stay
On the downside, It was hard to drive on the old patched roads and using the unpaved parking lot , once entered one-way road on the wrong side when I exited from CVS pharmacy and managed it as it was empty on ThanksGiving day.. These may be due to my average drving skills, I could have avoided this by staying 15-20 miles away from city center , as I didn't have a pressing reason to stay in the city center . The house is on 2nd floor, so about 20 steps-Just an FYI not an issue for me.
We had a great time and the apartment was great for our needs. Stephanie was super friendly and very accommodating!
We had a fantastic time staying with Stephanie. She is a very generous host and we loved socialising with her during our stay. The apartment is in a good location if you don't have a car, within walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants. The apartment was clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We highly recommend staying here.
