You have very few restriction at summit view, We like to be informed in the morning if you require a night meal, and stuff like that.
Liz was incredibly helpful from the moment she sent her driver to collect us from the station. We were welcomed with juice and an absolutely awesome Sri Lankan dinner. This place has unprecedented views, a lovely pool and hosts with bags of generosity and attention. A massive thank you to Luke, Liz and all the team for being so helpful. Breakfast was awesome and comprehensive and when deciding what to do next with our journey they couldn't have been more helpful.
If you want a relaxing place to stay in the hills outside of kandy this is it. It is a little bit out the way but there are plenty of tuk Tuks in the area if needs be. Couldn't recommend this place more.
Liz and her kids Luc and Elise were the best hosts we could have hoped for. I was traveling with 2 friends and they made us feel so welcome and like family. We were spoiled rotten and had lovely conversations about life in Sri Lanka. The house and grounds were immaculate and with all the modern amenities you need / miss while traveling. Highly recommended and we would stay here again without hesitation.
This is pretty much one of the best places to stay for those who plan to travel on the island.
Not only the location is perfect: out of busy traffic of Kandy, closer to Hill Country sights with options to continue the journey to East province or ancient cities; the overall experience of staying at Liz's place was superb.
The view and the pool exceed expectations, tasty meals (breakfast and on-demand dinner) include options of not only local cuisine but also of more traditional european recipes too.
Liz and her family and staff are very friendly and willing to help with routes planning, getting around the region including arranging for suitable transportation by a reasonable price.
For those who are concerned with Liz's dogs - this was not an issue at all: dogs are very friendly, harmless and out of guests area.
Whether you're in search for a main location to stay with breaks to travel to other provinces or you are looking for a quiet place to be for a week or more - staying at Liz's place would be a great decision.
Staying at Liz' was better than I could have ever expected. Aside from the beautiful atmosphere and scenic location, Liz and her family are wonderful. When I stayed there, it really felt at home and was exactly the living experience I was hoping for, as I was traveling alone and wanted to meet and connect with other people.
If you are looking for home-cooked meals, help and advice on trips and transport, loving family with great hearty conversations - and during the day a lovely pool and outdoor space to lounge in and relax before hitting Kandy central, Liz' Summit View is perfection!
Thanks again for everything! Sending lots of love your way - and can not wait to visit again and stay with you hopefully for awhile longer x
Beatiful place with an extraordinary good view. Teriffic hospitalisation and delicious food by the friendly Liz, her children and the staff.
Absolutely recomendable. Just be aware of the fact, that it is far up in the hills and you always need to have a driver, who can be organized by Liz.

About the Host, Liz
Hi I am Sri Lankan but lived in the UK for 30 years, married a French/Irishman and returned to Sri Lanka to live. We found our present location and fell in love with the beauty of it and built the house of our dreams here. I love entertaining, I give parties to our circle of friends regularly, love cooking both french and other western food(I leave the local SL cooking to my very capable cook - Lillie)This got me into the hosting business. I have built two chalets by the pool for your own space as guests but my house is open to you to enjoy!
