Perfectly fine venetian apartment for my family of four. Really good location and a very helpful host.
I traveled across Northern Italy for 11-days with my husband, parents, son and his girlfriend and rented apartments throughout the trip in 6 different cities, and this is the ONLY negative review I am writing (all other accommodations were excellent). The only positive thing abut this apartment was the location. The Rialto Market and Bridge are both only steps away. As for the apartment itself, it was terrible. There is air conditioning as listed, but it is only in ONE room, the kitchen! The rest of the apartment was unbearable hot and sleeping was nearly impossible for everyone, even with the little fans they provided for each bedroom. The rooms were all VERY small, and the guys could barely turn around in the bathroom and shower. It was also very, very dark, and one of the rooms smelled so bad (musty) that we had to close the door and not use it the entire trip. When we arrived, we were met by Arelis' maid who did not speak ONE WORD of English, not one word. Arelis came later that evening while we were in the process of trying to fix window paneling on one of the bedroom windows that was hanging off the wall, she said her husband would take care of it. We also advised her that the bathroom light was not working and we had to put a floor lamp from another room in there so we could see (reminder, bathrooms were SMALL to begin with so floor lamp made it even worse). She apologized, said she did not know about it, and would tell her husband about that as well. We never saw her again.
I do not know where you've come in Venice but the spaces are well and this is a great apartment for the media, also the air conditioning can not be put where you want, so the air conditioning is in most is supported for the fans . In this city we can not have two or three air conditioning especially in the central area.
If you needed was to take a hotel and pay a lot more, because he has booked for 5 people and 6 arrived and I THERE I DID PAY ANYTHING for the latter person, even if I had to.
You are also right that you have been so badly broken window trying to open something that did not make any other account as needed only move the tent as everyone and open the window, AND 'THIS I HAVE NOT CHARGED.
The bathroom light did not know that there was because the cleaning lady had not told us anything, my husband arranged this problem immediately.
She had not seen her since I was not called if I did I would go by you.
I hope in the future you were especially more honest.
The location was great for getting around Venice. Everything is an easy walk. The apartment was clean and as advertised. As everything in Venice the building is in a state of elegant decay, which actually adds to the charm. I was with a group of six and Arelis had the fold out bed (very comfortable) in the living area made up for us. There is plenty of room for a group this, size the only drawback is that there is just one shower. We made it work with a little planning. Also, if you are in a group this size I would recommend taking a water taxi direct from the airport. It cost us 130 Euros but the trip took about 20 minutes and they dropped us off almost right in front of the apartment.
this house has really good location，it has provided us very convenience choice to go anywhere in the main island, but i still have sth to command, there has too much insects on the bed, my family can't sleep very well. Also the kitchen doesn't has any oil and pepper, the house keeper told us we must pay for 14€ to have this kind of things. The service seems quite awful. All in all, nice place, nice location, bad English communicating abilities and cold manners.
Arelis met us right after we arrived and gave us a great explanation of the apartment and the area. The location of the apartment was perfect, we walked everywhere from there!
Arelis' husband met us at the Rialto Mercato vaporetto (water taxi) stop and walked us to the apartment. He helped carry the luggage up the stairs (there is no elevator), and showed us around the apartment. The location is very nice--fruit stands right around the corner, restaurants and shops too. Rialto Bridge is five minutes away, everything else (Palazzo Ducale, San Marco, Teatro la Fenice, etc), is an easy 10-20 min walk. We took the vaporetto from the Rialto Bridge to the airport, easily the most unusual transport I've ever done.
The kitchen and dining area does have an air conditioner, but be aware that the AC does not reach the bedrooms. There are floor fans in each room, but if you have an issue with heat, don't go in the summertime.
The apartment was clean and spacious, very functional.
