I have a large one bedroom apartment in the Lower East Side with a full kitchen, bathroom and plenty of closet space. I have a small balcony where you can stand and take in the views of the city. There are large windows that let in a ton of light.
You will have the whole place to yourself. My apt is on the 4th floor - there is an elevator in the building as well as a laundry room. I have reliable wifi and like a true NYer I do not own a TV.
The Delancey Street subway station is a one minute walk from my front door.
Ludlow is a very popular street on the weekends - at night on Friday and Saturday you will hear noise from the street - so if you are a light sleeper or get annoyed by the noises of NYC my apt may not be for you. =)
3 blocks away you are in China Town.
4 blocks away you in Little Italy.
6 blocks away you are in SoHo.
5 blocks away you in the East Village.
My husband is a writer we have a mural in our living room based on his manifesto - The Life and Times of a Remarkable Misfit. We have custom designed our apartment to reflect the ideals we live our life by.
No smoking at any time! I am severely allergic to smoke. Other than that enjoy your time and treat my apartment as our own.
We stayed at Melissas place for two nights and it was just great. We felt like home from the first seccond. The apartment is really nice and in a great location. Getting the keys from Tony was really easy too and the aerea arround the appartmant gives lot of oppotunities for eating or bar hopping. Next time I get to New York, I would try to stay at Melissas place again. Thank you for everything, you made our stay really comfortable.
I stayed at Melissa's apartment this past week, and it truly was a great experience. The key hand-off with Tony was swift and painless. The apartment itself is essentially exactly what's depicted in the photos...and there's SO MUCH SPACE! A lot of Manhattan apartments feel like Manhattan apartments (i.e. cramped, rough around the edges, a bit soulless, etc), but Melissa's apartment has such character and personality. The location can't be beat, especially if you're a fan of the feel of the EV/LES. I literally walked to all my favourite spots, and I rarely had to take the subway to meet friends because they preferred coming to my neighbourhood. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm in NYC, if it's available.
Smooth check in and amazing location! I would definitely rent again. Can't beat a colored screen intercom and a fast elevator!
I had a blast staying at Melissa's place. It was a last minute request but she was able to accommodate me and my needs promptly. The location was perfect -- right by the subway, and lots of nice places to eat/drink nearby. The place was clean, and Tony was very helpful before and during my stay. Forget the hotels and stay here if you can.
The place was wonderful. The location was in a great area with lots of food and great a coffee shop down the street called 'Caffe Vita'. Melissa was not around but her friend took great care of us. There was so much sunlight in the space that we left Melissa a couple little plant for her to get thru the long East Coast winter.
We would stay there again.
Great Place.. Getting the key was easy, comfy bed, a minute walk to the subway station and a few good food places near by.
Would stay again and recommend.
We had a perfect stay in Melissa's apartment for 7 nights over the New Year period. The location was ideal with lots of nice bars and restaurants meaning we avoided the tourist traps uptown. The subway station is really close which made getting around cheap and easy too. The apartment itself had everything we needed and really did become our home away from home after long days of sightseeing. Tony was also really great at communicating with us from the start and accommodated everything we needed - couldn't recommend it more!
