Beautiful apartment located in a historic building built by the Rockefeller family to accommodate their guests. The building is located directly across from Edgewater Park and is a 5 minute drive to downtown Cleveland. My apartment is on the top floor and accessible by elevator or stairs. Parking is on street and available on Lake Ave., West Blvd., or Clifton Blvd.
The guest bedroom is furnished with a beautiful antique bedroom set and features a full size bed with new mattress and box springs as of October 7, 2012. The guest room does NOT have AC. It does have a window fan and two windows. The bathroom is a shared bath and has a shower/tub, toilet, and sink. The common areas include: living room, dining room, and kitchen. The living room includes a massage table where I provide reiki treatments. Appointments can be booked during your stay if desired.
The building is a very quiet building in a wonderful neighborhood. Therefore, I am really interested in renting to people, who are respectful, quiet and clean. Please tell me something about you. Where you are from, what your plans are for Cleveland and which industry you work in. I would also like to see your pictures. Please read my profile and make sure you have made a nice profile for yourself BEFORE requesting a reservation.

David is very professional and the location is very convenient.
David was a terrific host, he was able to help me find safe parking and accommodated my schedule getting to his place (i was trying to visit friends before checking in). The room was perfect for my needs, well stocked and everything easily accessible (towels, wifi access, bathroom, bottled water, etc) and his printout for the room was easy to follow and had good food recommendations which i wish i had a chance to try out
The room was well ventilated, and the bed was clean and comfortable. He was also easily reachable by phone the next day if i needed him for anything (which i didn't, but it was nice that he was). The best part was how close it was to the lake, I had to take a few minutes to just take the view all in. If I'm ever in Cleveland again, I would definitely want to stay here again.
David has a lovely old apartment, with lots of space.
The location is pretty good, on the 55 bus to downtown, by the lake.
He is very accommodating, giving me a lift to downtown in the morning, and providing bottled water.
I would definitely stay again if available.
I stayed at David's after a very long transatlantic flight during the mayhem involving a move to a new city. I will be forever grateful to David for making me not only feel welcome but providing me with the essential info I needed for the first few days in cleveland. The room was comfortable and provided everything a travel weary person could ask for. Now I live only a few blocks from David's place and can definitely say I like my new neighbours. I would recommend his place to anyone visiting the Cleveland area. Who knows you might even move into the neighbourhood yourself!
Great building with a wonderful view of the lake just across the street. Nice, comfortable room, and David was a very considerate host. Really enjoyed my stay!
I was quite impressed with Cleveland and enjoyed staying with David. He directed me to some really nice spots. Unfortunately the weather was kind of raw, so I didn't get out walking in his neighborhood. Next time.
We went to Cleveland to visit the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and David's place is very conveniently located near it -- just hop on Rte 2 kitty-corner from his building and arrive at nearby municipal parking in 5 minutes. It is also easy to get to the Westside Market from there. The bedroom is smallish but sufficed us (a couple) for three nights. The apartment features a small but well-equipped and laid out kitchen and very spacious dining and living room. David graciously shares the space so we never felt cramped. It was also easy to arrange our check-in via phone with David. We did find the central steam heating overwhelming the first night (not yet off, but some days/nights in early spring require it), but opening the bedroom window per David's suggestion got us comfortable.
David was such a great host, he makes you feel at home and very comfortable. If you have to come to Cleveland and don't know where to stay I highly recommend you his place, lovely flat in a very quiet residence.
David was awesome! His place was centrally located to everything.. He was very nice and always willing to help me find places and things to do. I really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if I came to Cleveland!
David was an excellent host. He was thoughtful in every aspect of the airbnb experience. He provided thoughtful local recommendations and was easy to coordinate with. Parking was easy, and the area is quite nice.
The building is old yet full of character, from the squeaky floors to the old school elevator (kinda fun to ride!) The only minor downside was the water temperature in the shower, which was lukewarm rather than hot (though that might have been an anomaly). We also noticed that it was pretty bright in the bedroom at night even with the blinds closed... I only mention this because some people need a completely dark room to fall asleep.
Again, very minor issues, and we didn't even bother to bring them up with David. Overall, I'd recommend David and his place.
