Bright, sunny bedroom overlooks San Bruno Mountain in Glen Park which has been called a Swiss Village. Quiet street just blocks from BART and public transportation.
I have a guest room with a queen sized bed, end tables with lamps, a dresser, closet, cable TV and wi-fi. There is a large window facing south and a door to the redwood deck and fenced in yard.
Remodeled kitchen with windows facing south to San Bruno mountain offer lovely views. Living room has 46" HD TV with cable. The bathroom is shared with bathtub/shower. Washer/dryer in garage.
I'm a 7 minute walk to BART (the subway), the J Church MUNI line and buses and the village of Glen Park. BART station is one stop away from the Mission and 4 stops (7 minutes) from downtown. The village of Glen Park has coffee shops, grocery and a deli. Restaurants include Italian, French, New Orleans, pizza, burritos and crepes.
Just a few blocks from 280 and 101 freeways. Only a 15 minute drive to the airport.
The neighborhood of Glen Park is very quiet. There is plenty of street parking.
I have 2 medium sized dogs. They are not allowed in the guest room but are free to roam the rest of the house.
I've lived in San Francisco for 25 years and love to share my favorite city with others.
Please, no smokers. There is a front gate and an entryway before the front door, so it's easy to come and go without fear of letting the dogs out. Please use the fan in the bathroom when taking a shower to keep moisture down. Quiet time is from 11pm to 7am. If you need anything or have any questions, just ask!
Layne was absolutely fabulous! I enjoyed my stay with her immensely. She is kind, considerate, friendly, and knows the city well. She has three medium sized dogs who are all adorable. The room was clean, nicely decorated, with breathtaking views of the city below. The quaint neighborhood has coffee shops, restaurants, markets, a park etc just 8 minutes away by foot. Public transportation is easily within walking distance. Highly recommend staying at Laynes.
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Layne was the perfect host! Her hospitality and generosity makes you feel right at home. Her dogs are well behaved and will greet you kindly at the door. The house and room is comfortable and clean. Its location is close to the BART and other nice SF neighborhoods. Parking near the house is never an issue. Layne is a great resource and will offer plenty of suggestions of places to see and restaurants.
Lastly, if you are as lucky as I was, you may even get to try Layne's delicious lattes! I would recommend this place to anyone new to SF or visiting the area. You will without a doubt have an enjoyable stay.
Great place to stay. Close to the BART. Layne was great. She gave you space but was available available to chat about fun things to do around the area. Room was very clean and dogs were very well behaved.
Me and my girlfriend Ana Clara just loved to stay in Layne's house. She is so lovely and sweet. Helped us with tips and everything that we needed. Bart (subway station) is really close to her house and the neighborhood is amazing. It's perfect for who wants to feel how is to be on a quiet american neighborhood.
My next time in San Francisco will be in Layne's house, definitely.
We had a great two weeks staying with layne in glen park. She is a very friendly host and helpful with suggestions and advice. The bedroom is lovely with a beautiful view out to southern parts of San Francisco. Glen park Bart station is very close and takes you into all the best parts of the city which is very useful. Thanks layne!
Layne is a very nice host. She told me lots of the information of San Francisco. And the room is very nice. Comfortable and clean, the location is very good, near the BART, the underground hat you can go anywhere. Everything is wonderful there and I will choose there in the future again.
I love to travel and meet new people, so this is an opportunity for me to make new friends and share my love of San Francisco. My most exciting travel adventures were bicycling trips to Cuba, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Sumatra, Turkey and New Zealand. I enjoyed these because I love to cycle and my style of travel is very laid back and simple. I enjoy home stays and accommodations in small local "motels"rather than large hotels. I am a foodie and love to try new restaurants, especially in the Mission and the Valencia corridor. I enjoy helping guests find places to visit, to eat, help them navigate around the city, buy tickets to events, etc. I have 2 sweet short hair medium sized dogs that aren't allowed in the guest room, but you probably need to like dogs!
