This is a REAL one-bedroom apartment with separate livingroom and kitchen. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and lots of closet space. The livingroom has a sofa, a desk and a small table with chairs. The kitchen is fully stocked. It has a table and two chairs.
For an additional $25/night you can be 3 people staying in the apartment. The 3rd person could choose to sleep on the sofa or I can provide you with an air mattress.
$150 deposit through Airbnb + $75 cleaning fee required; deposit is returned on departure if apartment is in its original condition.
Standard check-in time is after 2pm; check-out time is noon. Whenever possible, I will accommodate specific arrival/departure times.
The apartment is located on the 4th floor in a tenement walkup building. That means 3 flights of stairs. I'm happy to help with luggage up and down!
The apartment is located on 15th Street, a quiet residential street, but the East Village is just a block away -- a fun and happening neighborhood with lots of great restaurants, bars, and shops!
One block from the subway, close to Union Square, and right above East Village (technically Gramercy Park) with views of Styvesant Square Park.
Casper's place is very sweet and in a wonderful location. It was very clean and felt perfect for a weekend getaway. It was easy to feel at home there with lovely art and space to make oneself comfortable. Casper is a great host- very communicative and welcoming.
Casper was generously flexible with my check-in; i was nervous about being trapped in DC by the snowstorm, and he made several accommodations on time changes throughout the evening to work it out, very thoughtful. I lived two blocks from his place for most of my adult life, so being able to return for work to an clean, well-appointed, classic apartment in my neighborhood was a true pleasure--i'll hope to be able to stay there again in the future! i would add (though i hope that doesn't make it change)-- it's a very good price: there's almost nowhere in manhattan more convenient to literally everything you need--whatever you do or like--than around union square.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My brother and I stayed for one night at Casper's clean, comfortable apartment which was walking distance to a concert we were attending. Casper was very accommodating of our less-than-solid arrival and departure times, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend booking with Casper.
We had a very nice stay overall. The appartment is very well situated, 1 subway stop to Williamsburg, 2 to Union Square from where you can go nearly anywhere in the city. Supermarkets and delis within walking distance.
Appartment is clean, with all commodities, quiet (for NYC that is) and Casper is a nice and helpful host, ie he allowed us to store our luggage the last day (provided there wasn't anyone that night).
All in all we'd return to this appartment !
It was our first in NYC and Casper's apartment was exactly what we wanted: nice, comfortable, great located, with the subway just 3 minutes away!
The flat is like the pictures, very clean and convenient!
We didn't have the chance to meet Casper, but he was very nice, available, offering his help and advices!
We had a great time!
Casper is an attentive host. His apartment is only a short walk from the subway and all the cafes, restaurants, bookstores (The Strand) and buzz of Union Square. He responded quickly to messages and extended the check out time which was much appreciated.
We really enjoyed staying at Casper's comfortable and well-located apartment. Would remind folks with larger luggage (like we had) that it's a 4th floor walk up with traditional narrow stairwell. Fortunately, Casper was there to lend a hand. Nice visit. Thanks!
Casper is an excellent host! Very helpful and always available. He tries to get the best for everyone and it was really a pleasure to know him.
The building is old as most buildings of Manhattan, but very well located. The apartment is exactly as it appears in the pictures. Clean and cozy!
Anyway, we had great days at this place. Certainly recommended!
My experience working with Casper and staying in this apartment was great. The unit is well-kept and spacious, exactly as pictured online, and it's location within a 10 minute walk of Union Square is tremendous. Casper is an attentive planner and gracious host. When I come back to NYC, this unit will be high on my list of places to stay.
