Sit in the porch swing and watch the deer, squirrel and wild turkeys. The hot tub will soak your bones and revive you at the end of a long, fun-filled day. Beautiful Blanco River access, 2-minute walk, that will delight you to the max.
Our rustic cottage has one private bedroom and a semi-private loft bedroom upstairs. Both rooms have queen beds. There's also a queen size sleeper sofa, (and these are never real comfy, are they)? They're fine for young people. However, our beds are really comfy.
We don't do one-night bookings on Friday and Saturday nights. Please don't request that. If you need one night for Sunday through Thursday nights, ask. :) We will consider it.
The cottage is situated across the street from the beautiful Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas, just like many of the homes along the beautiful River Road.
There's free wireless Internet, Direct TV, washer and dryer, and a full kitchen with a full-size fridge.
There's plenty of parking available in the driveway, and for a small extra fee, there's even a RV hookup. It's Texas, after all!
Please contact us to hear more about our place. It's right down the street from our full-time home, where we’ve had a bed and breakfast for 13 years. We enjoy helping people get to know Wimberley and the beautiful Blanco River, but we also respect their privacy. You're on your own unless you ask.
You can search Ramsay's Cozy Cottage in Wimberley to see photos of this place and also Ramsay House B&B. Please do keep in mind that this is Wimberley, and this neighborhood literally grew up from campsites in the early '70s to what it is today. It's funky and wonderful, and there's no better place to get in the river than one of our two coveted waterfront parks. We pay our neighborhood association per year for our guests to have access to these coveted parks; otherwise, it’s off limits to the public! So here's your chance to wade and float and fish and swim in the Beautiful Blanco River and literally walk back and forth to your cottage for a nap in between trips.

You can barbecue or just sit by an outdoor fire pit (check the local burn ban before starting a fire, please). The hot tub is right next to the cottage. Wimberley shopping is nearby, just a 10-minute drive down River Road, the prettiest three-mile-drive in Texas!
Though we would love to greet our cottage guests, they come in at different times, and we don't know when they arrive because we can't see the cottage from our home just up the street. We enjoy meeting guests and helping them, so we're always open to their calls. We travel ourselves, and if we're not here, there will be someone available to help you if you have a question.
Please bring extra towels for the hot tub and robes. Extra paper towels and tp are in the little building out back.
Leave your valuables at home! We won't be responsible for them.
The cottage is situated across the street from the beautiful Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas, just like many of the homes along River Road. It's pure magic! Oh, and did I mention there's a rope swing in the large park?
Interaction with Guests
If we're home, we would love to meet you. If you need us, just call.
I love that this is not a cookie cutter neighborhood. It has its own special thumb print, and there is nothing out there like it. If you're coming to be four miles from the downtown square, four miles to the grocery store, two minutes to get in the river, both shallow and deep, then you've found a delightful destination.
Other Things to Note
Please read the details about the cottage thoroughly. It answers most of your questions. Then fill out the booking form and include ALL the guests and pets. It should auto-calculate the information. If at that point you're interested, go ahead and send us a request for availability. Thanks so much for your interest in our cozy cottage.
No smoking indoors, please.
Cottage was great! Exceptionally clean and well-organized, and had pretty much everything we needed for a girls trip. Cynthia was quick to answer our questions and was exceedingly nice. The location is great: not too far from Wimberley, but also in a quiet little neighborhood on the river. Would definitely recommend it for a small group stay.
Lindsay, I loved it when we came down to check the hot tub and you said for me not to worry, that nothing was going to happen that would make the weekend less than perfect. Or words to that effect. I think you are the type of guest that all hosts hope for. I appreciate your kind spirit and wish all guest and people were like you!
All the best,
Great cabin, it was well equipped, it could use some hangers in the closet to hang clothes since there are no places in the bedroom to put your clothes and it needs a shelf in the closet downstairs to lay some items on. As well more hand towels would be great, there was only one. Unfortunately I was not well and could not enjoy the gardens and area as I would of liked. It is a tranquil place.
Danyelle communicated well with me about the reservation. She gave us some very good feedback upon departure here in this review, and we've already remedied the clothes hangers! We also took more towels down there. We are planning on putting in a shelf on both sides of the closet because she's right; if you want to unpack your things and not live outside of a suitcase, these shelves would be helpful. I hope she comes back when she is well and we can meet.
This was a lovely little retreat! Cynthia provided us with all the information we needed and made sure everything was ready for us to arrive.
I stayed with my two teen children and we all enjoyed it very much! The hot tub was lovely - as it was cold it was a perfect way to relax under the bright stars! The beds were comfortable, except the fold out couch, which is what Cynthia warned me of - I still got a good nights sleep, but don't expect luxury!
The kids loved the loft and the little bedroom. They were perfect.
The kitchen is a little small, but workable. One hint, if you love baking, like we do, you'll have to make sure you bring your own supplies there is no rolling pin or whisk or other fancier kitchen equipment.
The neighborhood was lovely. You can see the Blanco river from the relaxing porch swing. And our access to it was just a short walk away. It was beautiful and we all wished it was warm enough to swim this time of year!
There are some lovely shops in Wimberley and it seems like a nice little town.
All in all, a relaxing little slice of heaven!
The Cottage was awesome. Myself and five other guys used it for a getaway bachelor party weekend. Tucked in the beautiful Hill Country of Wimberley, TX, we had a great time. The property was well-kept and very functional. Most of all, Cynthia was a delight to work with.
The cottage was amazingly cozy. Had a wonderful relaxing stay. Cythnia made sure I had everything I needed and left me to myself, which I enjoyed. I will definitely be back.
Cynthia was a great host from the beginning. Clear and attentive communication. Cottage was everything we expected and then some. Had everything we needed with attention to detail on all. Very quiet area with nature evident everywhere. We fed the dozens of deer, played in the Blanco river (with the private access), grilled steaks, made a camp fire, relaxed in the jacuzzi, watched the Cowboy game, went shopping in the town square and sat on the front porch and just took it all in. Very memorable experience that we would recommend for any family. We loved it, thank you!
My finance and I had a truly amazing time at the Cozy Cottage. First of all, the location is amazing. Right across the street from the Blanco River, in a peaceful, secluded neighborhood. I think we saw one other person the whole time. There's river access just up the street, with a trail leading to a quiet pool perfect for floating in the house tube! Afterwards, we came back and relaxed in the hot tub while watching a family of deer. The cottage itself is very comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen, satellite tv, and remodeled bathroom. All in all, a great place for a getaway.

Greetings, Fellow Travelers!
I'm a retired court reporter and now an Airbnb host. It gives me great pleasure to welcome guests and answer any questions they may have.
There's just nothing like taking a break from the lives we lead to head off for a new adventure. Whether you're going to a nearby town or around the world, it's just plain fun to get away and experience life like locals of other cities, states, and countries.
My husband is semi-retired and helps me a lot. We try to greet guests at our b&b and sometimes we get to meet our guests who check in at the cozy cottage and answer any questions, then you're on your own. Experiencing new things is nice, along with having plenty of privacy, and that's what we provide at all three of our locations.
Wishing you all the best traveling adventures.
