I would hope you come to Milan, enjoy your stay and tell your friends about the wonderful place you stayed at!
*During your stay please be respectful and cognizant of our neighbors who reside in the building. This includes no smoking inside the building or the apartment, keeping noise to a minimum, and keeping the building clean.*
In the past guests have arrived over three hours late for the scheduled check-in without giving us any notification of when they would be arriving. Therefore to minimize this we have implemented a policy whereby in the event that the guest fails to notify us that they will be late for the scheduled check-in we reserve the right to charge an additional 10 euros for every half hour late.
Please no smoking and no pets. (1)We require a $100 security deposit which is handled completely by AirBnB when you make the reservation, this is to protect us in case the apartment is damaged, and it will automatically be refunded 24 hours after checking out. (2) Default checkout time is 12noon on your last day. If you need to change the time please send us an email and we will try to accommodate your request.
Our checking in policy:
Checkin must occur within one hour of the prescribed appointment. If there is going to be a delay we ask you the courtesy to call and reschedule. If you fail to notify and are delayed more than an half hour we ask that you pay an additional 10 euro per half hour as it is highly inconvenient for us to wait.
Please be on time for your check-in appointment. If you are more than 30 minutes late for the appointment, you may be required to pick up the keys elsewhere.
For after hour check ins please inquire.
Check outs should be no Later than 12 the last day to arrange for cleaning
But we allow flexibility on a case by case.
Again, thank you for taking the time to check out this listing!
From Nov 01, 2015 - Feb 29, 2016 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
This is not a luxury apartment! Not unless luxury is defined as - canvas folding chairs at the dinner table that are not the right height for the table, an inefficient air conditioner that does little to relieve the relentless summer heat coming though the apparently unlined ceiling and windows in the ceiling (because it is actually a converted attic), outdated sound system, TV and furniture in general, bed very hard and pillows very soft, and having to kneel in the bath in order to have a hand held shower! Not to mention being on the fourth floor (because it is an attic) and no elevator, and constantly worrying about hitting one's head on the sloping ceiling (much more of a problem than is apparent in the photo). Not good value for the high price asked.
Unfortunately our stay in the apartment was not as nice as expected:
For me a big no go is the bathroom. You cannot take a shower because the roof is tilted. This means either to take a bath or trying to take a shower when kneeling.
The second negative aspect is that the AC is not powerful enough to cool the apartment in the summer, which means you need to sleep with open windows in the night. The surrounding of the place is quiet enough (at least during the week, this is when we staid), BUT you will need to cope with mosquitos that will be stinging you during the night.
This means that I slept very bad during my stay, got stung all the time and wasn't able to take a shower in the morning like a normal person.
The things mentioned above in combination with the relatively high price asked for the stay make me not recommend the place.
However, the location, the surrounding and very good communication when arriving were good experiences.
Posizione strategica, confortevole, adatta a una coppia, costo troppo elevato per tre persone, considerare terzo piano senza ascensore in palazzo signorile. Nel complesso buona sistemazione e bellissima vista sui tetti di Milano!
This apartment is perfect if you are small in stature and in the cold months. Although the air conditioner was on for many hours the apartment was really heated due to it being in the attic space getting direct sunlight all day long.
Angelo was accommodating and responded to our complaints.
Great location, could reach Milan central station in 10 mins walk. Tram station, supermarket, gelato kiosk, restaurants are just around the corner, highly recommend a restaurant called "jumping" with cozy environment, friendly staff and good food at valuable price. Flexible checkin and checkout procedures. Helpful and punctual staff Rohan.
The apartment is well situated between he train station and the centre of Milan. it is quiet and the bed is comfortable. There was a nice knotted carpet in the sitting area. We believe we were met by the wife of an employee of the owner who spoke fair English. She did not show us how to work unusual features of the apartment e.g. we could not get the lights in the bedroom to work (apart from one bedside light), or water to come out of the taps in the bath. We were given no contact in Milan - one could only email the owner in NY. The employee was supposed to drop around to change some batteries in the remote for the TV but there was no evidence that he had ever been and he did not respond to our other written queries. The ceilings are low and there are very low beams (well below head height) over high use areas such as the entrance to the bathroom, above cupboards and the toilet. There is also a very low ridge on the ceiling above the stairs outside the front door. The bathroom ceiling is very low - one cannot do more than kneel in the bath/shower. The apartment was nowhere near as clean as our previous two airbnb apartments. For example, the carpet near the door was grubby as was the upholstery on the sofas and the grouting between tiles on the kitchen bench top and in the bathroom. Power outlets were broken and switches covered with masking tape. All of the windows are ceiling windows covered by a translucent material that lets in both the heat in the afternoon and the light from 4 am in the morning. A kitchen chair broke under my weight. (I am tall, but not overweight for my size.)
