This refurbished apartment is a unique refuge in Arles' historical center. We carefully picked furniture, art, and accessories from our travels, and some of the outdoor furniture was up-cycled from wood beams recuperated from the building. We tried to keep the charm of the building while adding comfort and design. Each bedroom has air conditioning and heating to keep you comfortable in winter and summer. The large 30m2 terrace offers a lovely escape. Contact us for low monthly rates in winter.
The space
The living room is in the veranda, which opens onto a large 25m2 terrace with an outdoor eating area and living room. The kitchen is small but includes an oven, dishwasher, capsule coffee maker, toaster...
Both bedrooms have 140x190 beds. Bedroom 1) has a chest of drawers and bedroom 2) has a small a closet with hangers and shelves. The bathroom has a spacious shower.
Guest access
There are two apartments in this building over a lovely sustainable concept store. This apartment is on the top floor.
Other things to note
In order to respect the neighborhood it is requested to avoid night festivities.
Please be careful with small pets and children on the terrace and veranda. On the terrace do not sit or climb on the railing. We don't want anyone getting hurt while staying at our apartment so if you have small children this apartment is not ideal!!!
Smoking is not allowed indoors but is possible on Terrace!
There is an additional fee for pets of 100 euros.
For long-term stays, we require that you pay our cleaning lady an additional 55 euros every 2 weeks to clean the apartment for three hours. It includes replacing towels and sheets.

Neighborhood highlights
Located in the historical center next to the Espace Van Gogh and Théâtre d'Arles you are close to everything the town has to offer by foot. The apartment is above a beautiful sustainable concept store and gallery called Madame Presse. There are many great restaurants within a two minute walk including L'Antonelle Bistrot, Le Gibolin, L'Autruche, and Monstre. Saturdays the open air market is just up the street. The apartment is also just a three minute walk to les Rencontre Arles headquarters.

My work: IRK Magazine & French Cowboy
I am an artist, photographer and art director. I am a photographer with my husband under our pseudo French Cowboy and I am the co editor in chief of IRK Magazine.
I am married to a French man who is an amazing designer and photographer. He was the art director of two magazines for 15 years and he was a product designer for Stark for 5 years.
We live in the forest of Montmorency. Its a picturesque town about 25 min outside Paris. We have two boys 14 and 19 years old. My husband also has two adult children 25 and 30 years old. They are equally wonderful.
Our dream is to live in Arles and we finally bought a building that needed a lot of love, vision and time to make it our dream project. Today we call one apartment le loup and the other les steppes after the name of the bookstore that used to be beneath it Le Loup des Steppes.
We spent 2 years scraping away at walls and floors. It was a great pleasure to discover the beauty hidden under old wall paper and cement walls. We are now renting both of the apartments in the building. This is a big adventure for us.
