Michele was a wonderful host and very responsive to our needs and request. His directions to reach the apartment were detailed and great; it would have been tricky to find otherwise. He greeted us and showed us the apt. answering all questions. We were 4, but you could easily accommodate more persons. The terrace was great for outside dining and relaxing. Great view--we were lucky enough to see the super moon from the deck!....Nice to have the washing machine...Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. It was nice to be close to but just outside of Sorrento. Easy to get to the town for the boat; we had a car, which was great, even just trekking into Sorrento. A great place to stay!
La Terrazza is a perfect place for a family stay. Easily accessible to the shops in town and transportation to all the sites in this area. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the kitchen well equipped for cooking all your meals. The terrazza is sunny with beautiful views of the sea and the mountains. A great place to have your morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
Michele was an extremely helpful and friendly host. He kindly met us on the road when we were lost and escorted us to the parking lot. The apartment was spacious and clean and had lots of features to make the family warm and comfortable. The kids were happy to play all day with the toys that Michele left. We were a bit worried about the pay-per-use gas but it was all good in the end. One of the showers had very little water pressure and the WiFi didn't work, but Michele told us about that well in advance so it was no problem. Michele checked in by calling or texting to see if we needed anything. It was very nice to feel like we weren't bothering him with questions. He was always ready to help us or answer our questions when we needed him.
The apartment is situated in a great location. It is only a short walk into town. Getting to Pompeii and Napoli is super easy. We also drove the Amalfi coast and found that Sorrento is the perfect starting point for a great car ride! In town you will find great shops and restaurants. We have a few favourites…Cafe Pina--right next to a mechanics shop--has the best pastries I have ever tasted in Italy…and I've been living and traveling here for 5 months. Also, there's a little fruit and veg and wine shop to the left of the steps that land you in the central square where you will meet Guiseppe--he has local charm all wrapped up, and the wine is cheap and delicious. We will certainly miss the Napolitano charm and good food.
Thanks again Michele and we hope to see you soon--in the warmer weather!
The 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Terraza. Michele was really helpful prior to and during the trip. Upon arrival, he gave us tips on how to get around the coast, and which beaches to go to in the am and pm. The house is conveniently located around 5 minute drive away from Sorrento.
The rooms are spacious and allow great flexibility for bed arrangements. The bathrooms are clean. The rooftop has a fantastic view, and we had barbecues up there!
For the price we paid, I would definitely recommend La Terraza to anyone.
Staying at Michele's has been the best weekend getaway. The spacious typical Italian home on the loveliest streets welcomed us to the leisurely lifestyle in Southern Italy. The hosts gave us wine upon arrival and supplied us with some food staples for the weekend. I even got to practice my not-so-good Italian with them! If I'm lucky enough, my friends and I will return! All of us were sad to leave.
Thanks Michele had a wonderful holiday at your apartment. Great views from sun terrace and walking distance to railway to get to Sorrento Pompeii Etc. Michele was a star when we got lost on arrival and came and found us. The apartment was a good size for the 8 of us and the welcome food drink basket was a blessing.
This apartment is probably wonderful in the summer but unfortunately not so great in the off season.
This apartment was our second stop on a two week trip through Italy (2 adults, a 3 year old and a 9 month old). My communication leading up to the trip with Michele was good. We arrived by train in Naples and took the Circumvesuviana to S'Agnello. The walk up from the station was pretty rough with a stroller and suitcase but manageable. Michele's mother greeted us at the apartment and showed us around, she was super friendly and we loved the bottle of wine and the two boxes of toys for our son. We then learned that the dryer listed as an amenity for the apartment was just a wire rack to air dry our clothes. This is normal for Italy but most apartments do not list it as a dryer. That night we also learned that the terrace would not be available for use and there was scaffolding on the building due to renovations. The next morning we woke up to renovation work outside our window at 8 am sharp. This continued throughout our stay. The next day after a wonderful morning at a nearby Olive grove and in Sorrento we came back to find ants in the bathroom and our son’s room. We used some ant killer Michele had in the apartment but the problem continued throughout the week, in several rooms. Check out went very smooth and Michele was a life saver having her brother drive us down to the train station. All in all my family had a great time in the Naples bay. The location is awesome and I would definitely come back with our family in the summer, not in the off season.
