Janine was the perfect host for our trip to Austin, she greeted us and showed us around her beautiful house when we arrived and was even kind enough to leave us with some supplies to make our arrival as hassle free as possible... fresh fruit, some beers, some food for breakfast and the best salsa ever! The house was perfect for our group of friends, the ideal location in the East side of Austin. We could walk to most locations, and the neighbourhood was safe and friendly.
Janine and her husband really couldn't have been more perfect, her husband even drove a couple of us to the airport when we realised we couldn't all fit in our Uber with all our bags when we left.
We'd all 100% recommend staying here and we'll definitely be back at some point too!
Thank you Janine! :)
This was such a lovely home to stay in. Janine and her husband went out of their way to welcome us. They kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. We arrived very late at night due to plane delay but waiting for us was a bottle of wine, bagels, bottles of water, eggs, bowl of fruit, etc. We were not expecting anything so it was a very pleasant surprise. Our favorite part of the house was the front porch with all the birds singing and cooing. The kitchen was fabulous with really nice cookware and a five burner gas stove. I was in heaven :). They were very earth conscious and they had a wonderful system for recycling that we really liked. We would definitely stay here again. House was very very clean and the decorating was awesome. Beautiful wood floors and antiques. The location was perfect. Very close to downtown but very quiet. Thanks Janine & Bill a hundred times over.
Our experience in Austin & at Jannine's house was wonderful!
First of all she was a very nice host who ensured we were comftorable & or needed anything.
Second of all, the house was beautiful & well taken care of.
Third of all, the location was great & within walking distance to many beautiful sights.
We would definetly stay again if we ever traveled to the growing city.
The hosts were amazing. They greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the house and explained the TV and heater. Then they left us to be but with the knowledge that they live just around the block so if we need anything they were there.
The location is really perfect for getting around Austin. We were able to walk to the river many times, to South Congress Street, and to downtown. After all the walking and paddleboarding, it was nice to know that we had many restaurants within a few blocks so we didn't have to go far.
Often we brought the food back home because it was so comfortable there. We could eat on the patio or in the dining room. The kitchen was very well equipped for anyone who wants to make there own meals.
When our taxi to the airport failed to show, they offered to take us to the airport. Amazing
Our time at Janine's home was perfect. The house itself is gorgeous, tastefully designed, and very clean. There was plenty of room for 5 adults. Janine is a gracious host. She greeted us upon arrival with a tour of the house and provided us with an abundance of healthy snacks and breakfast foods. Halfway through our stay, Janine asked if we were in need of anything else and dropped off a few more items that we ran out of- coffee, avocado, yogurt, etc. Couldn't ask for anything more from our stay at Janine's home.
Janine was the perfect AirBnb host and her home was beautiful. Seven of us spent a week for SXSW in Janine's amazing bungalow. There was plenty of space for all of us, an amazing porch to enjoy an early morning coffee or late night glass of wine, and the neighborhood is safe and quiet and only a 10 minute walk from downtown. Janine even picked us up some groceries which was a huge time saver and so helpful! We hope we can stay next year!
About the Host, Janine
I've lived happily in Austin for many years and I especially love the East Cesar Chavez neighborhood and all the wonderful neighbors and friends I have made here. I enjoy updating old homes and meeting new people who travel to Austin.
