Contemporary and beautifully presented one bedroom apartment on the Royal Mile only 100 metres from Edinburgh Castle.
This property has been recently modernised to a very high standard. The flat is on the third floor with views onto the Royal Mile and towards Arthur's Seat at the rear.
This trendy one bedroom apartment can sleep 4 due to the comfortable double sofabed in the lounge.
The apartment also boasts a large kitchen & dining room where four adults can dine in comfort. There are beautiful sanded floors throughout the apartment. Also for you to enjoy is the stunning modern fully tiled bathroom with powerful shower over the bath.
Decor is clean and modern. The property is on the third floor so there are lots of stairs to climb but on arrival we will carry your bags!
Facilities include digital TV plus DVD player, wireless broadband, electric heating, fully fitted kitchen with hob/oven, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. All bedlinen & towels are provided.
If arriving by car please be aware that there is no parking on the Royal Mile, we can however provide a car parking space just 5 minutes walk away at a cost of £10 per day - just let us know and we can add it to your booking.
Check in time is 4pm and check out is by 10am. Our office is nearby so luggage can be stored during office hours Mon-Fri to allow you to make the most of your time in Edinburgh.
We had an amazing time in Edinburgh and the location of this flat was superb. Everything was walking distance and even the view from the front windows was gorgeous. The beds were comfortable and having wifi was great since we were traveling from out of the country. I highly recommend this flat and would stay there again if I had the opportunity. The host was great and responded to everything we asked about very quickly.
Fantastic and central location in the Royal Mile area. Very convenient as the Hop on/Hop off bus also has a stop a few steps away from this location. Amanda was also very responsive with my concerns via the SMS (since we arrived a bit late because of train trouble). Incredible experience in Edinburgh overall.
The flat is in an amazing location right on the royal mile. The second bed is in a separate room which can be completely closed off making the place perfect for four people.
Overall we had a great time, were able to leave our bags in the office of the company running the flat until it was ready (note, from the train station you walk down a lot of stairs to the office and then have to take them back up those stairs).
Would happily stay again, particularly for the location.
I came to Edinburgh with two other friends and we had a fantastic time. Leanne met us as we arrived and she was friendly and happy to assist us with anything we needed.
The apartment was big and the bed and sofa bed comfortable. Could do with a little moderisation but we were exploring the town so wasnt too fussed! The hot water only just lasted for three of us to shower which could be as issue if there are 4 of you.
Would recommend to a friend :) x
Myself and my boyfriend stayed over the weekend in this great apartment. The location was the best we could ask for literally a stones throw away from the castle and plenty of lovely restaurants..would highly recommend the wildest dram on the royal mile beautiful food!
The apartment itself was nicely finished and the bed was super comfortable. The bath could be fixed up a little but it really didn't take away from the apartment at all. The hosts were great, very friendly and helpful and communication was great.
Would definitely recommend staying the location alone is worth it...walking distance from pretty much everywhere you could want to go...overall had a lovely time and would recommend! Thank you
The Royal Mile Apartment was the perfect spot to enjoy central Edinburgh. Shops, cafes, pubs, and tourist attractions are all steps from the door. I enjoyed the location and comfort enough to extend the trip. Amanda was easy to communicate with and responsive to requests immediately.
Positives: The flat is very well located, and was clean and well equipped. There's a big eat-in kitchen AND a separate living room in the front, and a quiet double bedroom and bathroom in the back. Great views. The bedding is good quality. The staff are super friendly and as helpful and flexible as their busy schedules and rules, will allow. Check in/out hours are strict, but we were allowed to leave our bags in the office from lunch until check in at 4pm and from check out until 4pm on our last day.
But this is not your typical airbnb experience. This is a company which rents apartments and uses airbnb as a marketing tool, not a person or family sharing their home with you (to be fair, this is made pretty clear from the description). So for us, this was our least successful airbnb experience to date.
The Fringe was running-- high season-- so the flat was expensive-- £210/night (again, to be fair, local hotels jack up their prices even higher). There were many small flaws, typical of well used, commercial accommodation-- light bulb missing in living room standing lamp, broken TV stand top, hob extractor fan and light not working, refrigerator door hinge needs adjusting. The bathroom is not "stunning" as in the description, in fact the bathtub surround needs attention, and there are multiple empty picture hooks on the walls for some reason. Pre-arranged extra bedding wasn't provided and had to be requested and an extra set of towels was never provided. Due to a misunderstanding, there was no key in the lock box, so had to wait in the rain with everyone's luggage to get in (someone came very quickly and helped carry all the bags up, but I missed the play the others went to at 5:00pm as I had to wait to get in.) Wifi was annoying, needed a lot of fiddling around, rebooting and re-setting it to get it to work. No kitchen roll, tea towels or dishwasher tablets provided (the sort of thing you don't want to buy for a short stay, but do need to keep the kitchen tidy.)
If you want to be near tourist attractions, you're happy with a commercial let, it's off season so the price is more like £120/night, and your standards aren't too high you'll be fine.

I live in Edinburgh and have a real passion for the city!
My ideal Sunday starts with a walk with the dogs up Calton Hill, then to the Royal Mile for lunch and a walk round the old town followed by dinner and cocktails in the New Town!
I do a lot of fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support and last year summited Mt Kilimanjaro.
