We had a great stay in Amanda's property! The flat was very spacious and did not feel crowded with four people. Pictures shown are exactly how the flat looked and it was very clean. One thing I really loved was the water pressure in the showers and the quality of them. Beds were comfy and the two sofas were great in the living room.
In regards to location it was spot on! Nothing was far to walk to and it was surprisingly quiet inside given it's location to the Royal Mile. A great place to stay if you want to be as centrally located as possible.
Amanda was a great host and kept in contact via text for the days leading up to our visit and made everything very easy!
Leanne and Amanda were wonderful hosts -- we had many questions, which Leanne answered in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. She even met us when we arrived, to welcome us and show us around the flat. Before we left they were nice enough to arrange transportation to the airport, which was greatly appreciated, given the amount of luggage we had! The location couldn't have been better - literally across the street from St. Giles Church and a 5 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle -- we felt like we hit the jackpot location-wise. The home itself had everything we needed to make for a comfortable stay, and the pictures accurately depicted everything. All-in-all, we were very happy with everything, and would stay there again. Helpful hint - if using a taxi or other means of transportation, it is strongly recommended you use the entrance to Advocates Close that is across from St. Giles - you only need to go down several steps vs. climbing a great number of them from the bottom..
The property was a described with everything a traveler could want. It is on two levels with the two bedrooms and an en suite on the entry level and a second bathroom & toilet on the floor below with the living room and kitchen. Location is excellent. Advocates Close opens onto the Royal Mile/High Street directly across from St. Giles Cathedral. The bus or the tram from the airport drop you off at Waverly Station and it is a short walk to the apartment. Remember to enter from High Street if you have heavy luggage or prefer not to climb many stairs.
Just down the Close from the apartment is an excellent restaurant, The Devil's Advocate, not to be missed. We also enjoyed a nearby restaurant, The Cellar Door. Both are small and have a more local feel than many of the tourist oriented establishments on the Royal Mile.
Great place and location. We recommend it,
We had lots of texts and emails in the run up to our visit and contact with Lucy from Vie Amhor on the day. We found the key box easily and were soon in the apartment. It is an absolutely unbeatable location just yards from the Royal Mile and easy walking from the train station. Apart from comfy beds, which we also got, that was all we really needed for a great weekend.
After an initial misunderstanding at checkin, our stay was a pleasant one. The flat is in an excellent location, a mere stones throw away from the Cathedral and close to many restaurants and bars. The area is quiet and sleep was undisturbed.
Areas of the flat require some attention such as missing lightbulbs and would benefit from a touch of paint but nothing that would deter us from staying again.
A great place to stay.

About the Host, Amanda
I live in Edinburgh and have a real passion for the city!
My ideal Sunday starts with a walk with the dogs up Calton Hill, then to the Royal Mile for lunch and a walk round the old town followed by dinner and cocktails in the New Town!
I do a lot of fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support and last year summited Mt Kilimanjaro.
