Interaction with guests
I am Azur (28), and pride myself on my home, hospitality and cleanliness of the apartment. I studied banking, have been living in Sarajevo for ten years and have therefore extensive knowledge about everything going on in the city.
I will do my best to inform you on interesting places that you should visit in while staying in Sarajevo.
Grbavica neighborhood is one of Sarajevo's most sought-after residental neighborhoods with many green spaces, children playgrounds and quiet corners. You might remember the famous movie „Grbavica: The land of my dreams“ who won several prices worldwide in 2006. It was shot in the neighborhood.
Staying with me would suit anyone travelling Sarajevo who wants to see a bit of authentic urban Sarajevo life and explore its people and local living while having perfect public-transport access to all major sights and attractions.
The apartment is a 15-minute walk or a 2,50-Euro cab ride from the Central Railway and Bus Station where buses and trains to all parts of Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as to the Balkans and Europe frequently depart.
The streetcar station is 200 meters away and all streetcar lines of Sarajevo pass there, including the ones going to the central train station as well as to the city center. Right in front of the building Bus Nr. 18 is leaving regularly to downtown. Several trolleybuses to the city center and to the airport leave in 100 meters distance. A cab to the center will be around 2,50 Euro.
Especially close is the National Museum with its fascinating exhibits about the history and culture of the country as well as the Museum of History with a moving exhibition about the war of m from my flat you can enjoy Sarajevo's most famous boulevard "Vilsonovo setaliste", which looks fascinating during every season, but especially so during springtime and autumn and leads you to the center. UN building is 5 min walk.
In front of the building and one block away, there is the full range of city life waiting for you, a „DM“ drugstore, a colorful and lively neighborhood market with a large range of fresh and cheap produce from the countryside, a pharmacy, two bakeries, fast-food joints, cafés and trendy bars. Plenty of parking is also available.
Other things to note
If you prefer cycling – maybe to the beautiful Bosna springs, which are 10 kilometers away, I can provide you a bike. You will have your own set of keys to the apartment. While this room is part of my apartment, it is totally private.
Lastly, there are a few things I can additionally provide you with to make your Sarajevo experience more comfortable:
Sarajevo tourist maps and magazines, Welcome info (details of post office, doctors, supermarkets, pubs and bars, everything is close!) and travel info about all parts of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Balkans.
If you are interested, please let me know a bit about yourself and when and for how long you would like the room for. I guarantee that you will get to live and truly experience Sarajevo and it will be a trip to remember!
There is no special rules, you should be polite and do not make a mess.
